rUv e5bf0d4892 feat(forecast): add independent Rust multivariate training stack (#1766)
* feat(forecast): add independent Rust training stack

Signed-off-by: Codex <codex@openai.com>

* docs(forecast): record informal HPO exploration note (unaccepted)

Records an exploratory Darwin Mode numeric-genome hyperparameter search
against the tiny_ci synthetic accuracy protocol: WQL improved 0.257 -> 0.161
-> 0.153 over two search rounds, staying ahead of both baselines throughout.
Explicitly scoped as informal/exploratory (not a frozen leakage-free report,
not eligible for the evidence ledger, not validated for large_linux or any
real dataset) per this doc's own evidence-tagging discipline.

* feat(forecast-core): add per-horizon weighted quantile loss

weighted_quantile_loss collapses the whole horizon into one aggregate
number, hiding whether error grows with lead time. Add a sibling
function using the identical per-cell pinball formula and domain
checks, just reduced per horizon step instead of globally. A unit
test reconstructs the aggregate from the per-step numerators/
denominators to prove the two functions agree exactly, not just
approximately.

* feat(forecast-model): add evaluation-only local activation

Adds activate_for_evaluation and build_eval_input, gated behind the
cpu feature. activate_for_evaluation self-signs an unsigned candidate
with a fixed, publicly-known, non-secret Ed25519 key so a CLI operator
can run inference against their own just-trained candidate without a
real release signature -- explicitly never a production trust path,
documented as such in the module doc comment. The schema-digest check
in ArtifactActivationPolicy still applies in full; only signing is
relaxed. build_eval_input constructs a single-window ModelInput for
CPU inference from raw context-major values/mask arrays, matching the
training batch builders exact time-feature/descriptor encoding.

Six unit tests cover: malformed-candidate rejection, digest-mismatch
rejection (proving the schema check has teeth even on this relaxed
path), getting past the policy gate with a matching digest, and
eval-input shape validation.

* feat(forecast-train): add evaluate and prepare-synthetic-dataset CLI

Turns this sessions throwaway HPO scripts into real, tested CLI
surfaces, replacing two example binaries that bypassed the CLI/TOML
training path entirely.

prepare-synthetic-dataset generates a larger, configurable synthetic
training shard (default 24 windows) plus a matching train-local.toml
with the given OptimizerSpec hyperparameters baked in, and a separate
held-out test.jsonl -- the same synthetic-only, local-validation-only
posture as prepare-local-example, just bigger and configurable.

evaluate scores a trained (unsigned) candidate against held-out
windows and the LastValue/SeasonalNaive baselines: overall weighted
quantile loss, a per-horizon breakdown, 80% interval coverage, and
missingness, for the model and both baselines. Explicitly lists what
docs/benchmarks/ruforecast.mds full accuracy protocol additionally
asks for that this does not cover (abstention coverage, selective
risk, site/device slices, interference regime, RuVector-retrieval
ablation) rather than silently omitting them -- each needs
infrastructure a single-entity synthetic fixture does not have.

Together the three real commands (prepare-synthetic-dataset,
train-local, evaluate) reproduce the exact WQL numbers the old
library-bypassing example scripts produced for the same
hyperparameters, confirmed by re-running the harness/ruview HPO
dry-run end to end against the new CLI path.

New integration test trains a real candidate via smoke, evaluates it
against held-out synthetic windows, and asserts the full report shape
and an empty-input rejection.

* feat(forecast-train): add prepare-synthetic-dataset --seed + Autogenous bridge

--seed (default 0, backward compatible) makes prepare-synthetic-dataset's
generator deterministic per offset: same seed -> byte-identical corpus
across runs (needed to train two genomes on the SAME corpus for a fair
comparison); different seeds -> genuinely independent corpora (needed for
honest multi-seed/multi-judge evaluation upstream, both in
harness/ruview/flywheel/ruforecast/gate.mjs's fitness function and in the
new v2/crates/ruforecast-autogenous-bridge crate added here).

ruforecast-autogenous-bridge is a LOCAL-DEV-ONLY (excluded from the v2
workspace, publish = false) bridge from this crate's real evaluate CLI
into ruvnet/autogenous's new regression-candidate promotion path (separate,
unpushed branch feat/regression-candidate-kind): runs N independent
train+evaluate judges on genuinely distinct synthetic corpora, signs
receipts, and gets a real cryptographically-verified PROMOTE/REJECT
decision -- defense in depth on top of, not a replacement for, Darwin's own
promotion gate. Path-depends on a sibling autogenous checkout that does not
exist in CI; build/run directly via `cargo build --manifest-path
crates/ruforecast-autogenous-bridge/Cargo.toml`.

cargo test -p ruview-forecast-train --no-default-features --features
cpu,cli: all green (unaffected existing tests + this backward-compatible
addition).

* docs(forecast): retract round-2 HPO result, record honest multi-seed finding

The earlier "Informal HPO exploration note" claimed a real improvement
(WQL 0.257 -> 0.153) from a 3-round hyperparameter search. That search
evaluated every candidate against one fixed synthetic corpus (seed 0) for
every round -- textbook overfitting. Independent verification against two
fresh corpora (via the new ruforecast-autogenous-bridge crate) showed the
"winner" losing to the baseline on both.

Fixed the root cause in harness/ruview/flywheel/ruforecast/gate.mjs:
candidates are now scored against three independent corpora, worst-case
across them, not one fixed corpus.

Re-ran the search under the fix. It found a new winner that genuinely beat
baseline on all three of its own search seeds -- and that winner ALSO lost
independent verification on fresh seeds. Two independent search rounds,
pre- and post-fix, both produced an illusory "winner." The honest reading:
at this dataset scale (24 synthetic windows) held-out WQL varies enormously
by which corpus is drawn, regardless of hyperparameters -- confirmed
directly by the baseline genome's own primary swinging from 0.83 to a full
regression across the three fixed search seeds with unchanged
hyperparameters. No RuForecast hyperparameter configuration has been shown
to reliably beat the trivial baselines out-of-sample at this scale.

Also fixes a real design inconsistency surfaced by this exploration: the
Autogenous regression-candidate promotion verifier
(envelope::regression::verify_regression_promotion, separate unpushed
ruvnet/autogenous branch feat/regression-candidate-kind) required all
judges to share one corpus_id, which conflicts with this kind's
intentional cross-corpus judge design. Corrected there (commit bfa4c48);
did not change either REJECT verdict, which were already driven by the
real NotBetterThanParent signal on their own.

Append-only: the original round-2 row is kept, read together with this
new amendment section, per this doc's own evidence-ledger discipline.

* refactor(forecast): extract RuForecast to ruvnet/RuForecast submodule

Mirrors the v2/crates/worldgraph pattern: RuForecast becomes its own
independent public repo/workspace (ruforecast-core/model/train), mounted
at v2/crates/ruforecast as a git submodule, with v2/Cargo.toml path-depping
into its sub-crates and excluding the submodule from the v2 workspace.

Full v2 --workspace check passes; the ruforecast CLI builds and runs
correctly from its new location. Real git history for the extracted
crates (7 commits) was preserved via git-filter-repo, not squashed.

* feat(autogenous-bridge): real-data independent verification tool

real_data_verify.rs: signs two real, temporally-independent judge
measurements (different train/test split boundaries on the same real
household vitals corpus, not synthetic seeds) through the real
Autogenous regression-candidate promotion path, and gets a genuine
cryptographically-checked PROMOTE/REJECT verdict.

Result recorded (see docs/benchmarks/ruforecast.md): REJECT. One judge
nominally beat the trivial baseline but by less than the 0.01
non-inferiority margin; the other judge lost outright. Consistent with
every synthetic-data search this session -- no configuration has yet
been shown to reliably beat trivial baselines out-of-sample, now
including a real 6390-sample household corpus.

Bumps the ruforecast submodule to pick up the evaluate real-gap fix.

* docs(forecast): record real-household-data result (REJECT, signed)

6390 real vital-signs samples, two independent temporal splits,
independently verified via the real Autogenous regression-candidate
promotion path. Signed verdict: REJECT -- neither split cleared the
non-inferiority margin. Same conclusion as every synthetic search this
session, now confirmed with real data too: more real data is the
credible next lever, not further search on this scale of fixture.

* chore(forecast): point ruforecast submodule at published main (post gap-tolerance fix)

* ci(forecast): fix ruforecast-ci.yml for the new v2/crates/ruforecast submodule layout

The RuForecast crates were extracted into a standalone submodule (v2/crates/ruforecast, mirroring the existing v2/crates/worldgraph pattern) and are no longer members of the v2 workspace. The CI workflow still referenced the old in-tree package names/paths (ruview-forecast-core/model/train under v2/), which broke every forecast job with "cannot specify features for packages outside of workspace".

Fixed every job to target the submodule: working-directory -> v2/crates/ruforecast, -p ruview-forecast-* -> -p ruforecast-*, all hardcoded Cargo.toml/source paths in the Python assertion and clean-room-scan blocks, the Swatinem/rust-cache workspaces input, the artifact-tree output paths, and the two levels of relative path (../ -> ../../) in the informational-benchmark steps whose working directory moved one level deeper.

Also collapsed the paths: trigger filters internal-crate globs (v2/crates/ruview-forecast-*/**) down to the single v2/crates/ruforecast path, since GitHub Actions path filters only ever see a submodule gitlink change as one entry in the parent tree, never its internal file paths -- the old globs could never have matched anything.

Includes a real cargo fmt fix (submodule commit d9902f9) for formatting drift left over from the earlier real-data gap-tolerance fix, which the contract job's fmt --check step would otherwise have failed on.

All four forecast CI jobs' real commands verified locally before push: cargo test/check for CPU, CUDA/WGPU compile-check, the contract job's Python assertion block, the hosted-boundaries clean-room scan, and cargo fmt --check.

* docs(forecast): record real BIDMC cross-entity holdout result (REJECT)

Two independent real-patient partitions (34/16 and 24/26 splits, 53 total
ICU patients from PhysioNet BIDMC, Open Data Commons Attribution License
v1.0) both show the model losing to trivial baselines by a decisive margin
(+69% and +601% worse WQL). First genuine cross-entity real-data test this
project has run; same conclusion as every prior synthetic and single-household
test. Full Autogenous signed verification was not run for this entry -
flagged explicitly in the note.

* chore(forecast): point ruforecast submodule at published main (example feature-gate fix)

* chore(forecast): point ruforecast submodule at published main (clippy fix)

rUv d42c5581f3 feat(rufield): ultrasonic as the field surface's second modality (#1716)
ADR-262 §8 question 5 left the second modality open, asking whether it should
be rvcsi. This answers ultrasonic instead, because the cost collapsed:
rufield-adapters now ships UltrasonicReplayAdapter, the first adapter for
Modality::Ultrasonic (registry code 7, empty since v0.1), which parses,
validates and signs BatVu range profiles upstream. RuView only has to decide
what it will put on a wire.

Bumps vendor/rufield 43b1df3 -> 9955672. Two struct literals in bridge.rs gain
fields added upstream (Observation: track_id, attributes, identity_evidence,
channel_sounding_provenance; SensorDescriptor: coordinate_frame, position_m,
orientation_xyzw). All left empty, each for a stated reason rather than a
convenient default — the pose fields in particular, because a CSI link has no
boresight and §6 makes no validated room-coordinate claim. The nine existing
P1 gates pass unchanged.

The decision this module makes is structural rather than a runtime refusal.
The adapter's full per-bin frame is P0 and would be dropped by the egress gate
after all the work of parsing and signing it; its 32-bin coarse reduction is
P1 and egress-safe. So the module does not offer the choice — it configures
the coarse mode, because a consumer cannot un-coarsen a coarse profile whereas
a check can be reordered. The gate still runs and is asserted to drop nothing.

12 gates in tests/ultrasonic_gates.rs, including the honest negative result: an
ultrasonic scan produces no fused inferences at all, and both independent
reasons are pinned. The adapter declines to populate `presence` — one
transducer pair cannot distinguish a person from a coat over the back of a
chair — and the engine's feature vocabulary is entirely statements about a
body, so range_m has nothing to drive.

The fixture is BatVu's own emitter output, byte-identical to the one in
ruvnet/rufield, so schema drift fails a build in one of three repositories
rather than an ingest in a deployment.

Not wired into the running server; P1 shipped as a library before P3 wired it
in, and this follows the same staging.

Claudeandclaude-flow 3161af52da feat(offaxis): clean-room Kooima off-axis projection in Rust/WASM (ADR-324)
New leaf crate v2/crates/ruview-offaxis implementing ADR-324's projection
core from the published math only (Kooima 2008 generalized perspective
projection; Casiez 2012 one-euro filter) — no code from the unlicensed
prior-art repo. Dependency-free native core; wasm-bindgen surface gated to
wasm32 (cdylib+rlib, ~54 KB wasm after bindgen).

- projection: Screen (3 corners, any orientation) + off_axis() -> typed
  errors, never NaN matrices; column-major f64 (three.js Matrix4 layout).
  Tests pin the defining invariants: screen corners -> NDC corners for a
  grid of eye positions and tilted screens; screen-plane points are
  eye-invariant; centered eye reduces to the symmetric frustum; near/far
  map to NDC -1/+1.
- filter: one-euro with injected timestamps (no clock in crate);
  monotonicity/convergence/NaN-rejection tests.
- rf: field-peak extraction mirroring field_localize.rs constants
  (X_SCALE 0.6, Z_SCALE 0.5, PEAK_THRESHOLD 0.35) and the Tier B
  coarse-parallax stage (deadband, gain, hard clamp) so over-claiming is
  impossible at the API level. No accuracy numbers asserted.
- wasm: OffAxisCamera + RfParallax bindgen classes; per-frame updates hold
  last good state instead of throwing.
- benches (criterion): full Tier B frame ~598 ns; argmax scan optimized
  -18%/-33% (20x20/100x100). MEASURED table + reproducer in README.
- examples/three.js/demos/07-off-axis-window.html: demo with SYNTHETIC
  mouse simulator and labeled RF Tier B mode ('coarse body parallax - not
  head tracking'), physical calibration panel, /ws/sensing input, and a
  build-instructions overlay when the local pkg/ output is missing
  (generated artifacts stay uncommitted; .gitignore entry added).
- Validated 23 unit tests + doctest, clippy clean, wasm32 release build,
  Node smoke test of the bindgen output, and a headless-Chromium run of
  the demo (engine load, eye response, mode labels, ws failure path).
- ADR-324: header + section 2.5 amendment recording the Rust/WASM core.

ruv 73e82313ac fix: issue triage batch (#1521-1557) + wire the certificate spine together
Reviews and fixes RuView's 10 most recent substantive issues, plus closes
the wiring gap flagged in the perception-substrate review (docs/adr,
gist, release notes from the PR #1579 review).

## Fixed

- #1526: UI falsely claimed "LIVE — ESP32 Hardware Connected" whenever the
  unauthenticated /api/v1/status probe 401'd. Now sends the bearer token
  on the probe (the fallback direction was already fixed by ADR-295).
- #1554: top-level `classification` (GET /api/v1/sensing/latest) was the
  last UDP packet's single node, not the fused room aggregate, so it
  flapped at packet rate with 2+ disagreeing nodes. Now derived from
  `RoomInference` (ADR-297's `fuse_room`) at both call sites.
- #1541: per-node MQTT `presence`/`presence_score` read a `classification`
  JSON key that does not exist on `NodeInfo` (the real field is
  `node_inference`), silently falling back to the room aggregate for
  every node — reproducing the exact "lockstep publish" the field report
  measured. Also fixed the *existing* regression test for this bug,
  which used the same wrong key in its own fixture and so never caught it.
- #1557: pose-fusion's `wsPortMap` only knew port 3000, so a remapped host
  port fell through to `localhost:8765` (nothing there for a remote
  viewer). WS port is now derived from `location.port` instead of a
  2-entry lookup table (the "never render simulated as live" half was
  already fixed by ADR-295's `onVerifiedFrame` gate).
- #1525: the no-model pose path already clamps keypoint confidence to a
  0.1 floor, but the renderer's own threshold is also 0.1 compared with
  `<=`/`>` — a keypoint at exactly the floor was still invisible. Floor
  raised to 0.15 to clear the client's gate.
- #1556: `--mqtt-ca-file`/`--mqtt-client-cert`/`--mqtt-client-key` were
  parsed and stored but never applied — TLS always used the system trust
  store, so a self-signed broker always failed UnknownIssuer. Now builds
  `rumqttc::TlsConfiguration::Simple` from the real PEM files (no new TLS
  dependency needed). A file that can't be read logs why and falls back
  to system trust instead of failing opaquely later.
- #1555: the MQTT availability heartbeat asserted "online" for every known
  node on a fixed 30s timer regardless of whether that node's data was
  still arriving. Now tracks each node's last-seen broadcast snapshot and
  only reports "online" within a 10s freshness window, otherwise
  "offline" — a frozen sensor can no longer look available. (The other
  half — restarting a publisher that goes permanently silent — needs a
  reproduction the reporter themselves weren't certain of; left for a
  follow-up rather than guessing at the trigger.)
- #1540: already fixed on main (node-keyed RateLimiter, ADR-297).
- #1521/#1522: not fixable in this repo (published HF model artifact);
  replied with the ADR-298 gate status and the exact byte-level fix for
  the safetensors header, and corrected the README row that claimed the
  file loads with the reference loader.
- #1542, #1527: replied — #1542 is a real, larger firmware+server feature
  left open for follow-up; #1527's suggested fixes were already applied,
  the one residual sample is an inherent first-frame paint gap.

## Certificate spine wiring (closes the gap flagged in the PR #1579 review)

`ruview-certify` and `ruview-policy` now depend on `ruview-ood` and provide
real `From<ruview_ood::DomainState>` adapters plus a composed entry point,
`ruview_policy::authorize_from_certificate`, matching the adapter contract
`ruview-policy`'s own doc comment already described but that no code
actually implemented. A new cross-crate integration test
(`acceptance_test_b_real_integration`) mints a real signed
`CapabilityCertificate` and proves a real post-drift `ruview_ood::Unknown`
denies a `SafetyCritical` action through the composed pipeline — not two
disconnected unit tests hand-setting the same enum value.

Also:
- Wires `evaluate_linear_head` (ADR-298 model-release gate) into a new CI
  job so the checker itself can't silently regress; documents that gating
  an actual model publish is still a manual step (no HF automation here).
- Wires `SourceState::export_watermark()` into `start_recording`: a
  recording captured while the source is synthetic is now stamped in its
  metadata (not the filename or per-line JSON, to avoid breaking
  `delete_recording`'s path reconstruction or the training dataset
  loader's schema).
- Updates docs/user-guide.md's "Developer Preview" section to describe
  what's now genuinely wired vs. still not (no live continuous
  calibration/OOD loop in the running server yet).

## Validation

- cargo test --workspace --no-default-features: 4391 passed, 0 failed
- cargo build --release -p wifi-densepose-sensing-server --features mqtt:
  clean
- Server smoke-tested end-to-end against the simulator (real startup,
  UDP/WS/HTTP listeners, /api/v1/sensing/latest stable across calls)
- Real ESP32-S3 hardware was NOT reachable this session (no COM port
  present, zero UDP frames received after 40s bound to 0.0.0.0:5005) —
  the multi-node fixes are validated by the new unit/integration tests
  and full-workspace regression, not by live hardware.

Claudeandclaude-flow e46fcc6862 feat: implement ADR-297 phase-3 — RF twin, placement, spatial memory, counterfactual, info-gain, active sensing
The higher-ceiling primitives on the fused world state. Six crates, all
deterministic SYNTHETIC/L0 model scaffolds (a twin predicts, it never measures);
70 tests + 6 doctests, verified green independently.

ruview-twin (ADR-312): per-deployment RF twin — radio geometry, a documented
synthetic log-distance + wall-attenuation propagation model, per-link expected
distributions, and the load-bearing delta(observed,expected) that localizes a
physical change (moved node / new reflector) to specific links. 8 tests.

ruview-infogain (ADR-311): Value(sensor) = expected uncertainty reduction /
weighted cost; pure bounded-greedy selection under a multi-dimension budget;
unknown-value candidates handled explicitly (defer/probe, never silent zero). 15.

ruview-active (ADR-306): closed-loop control vocabulary (channel/bandwidth/
cadence/antenna as validated ranges); step() proposes the next measurement to
reduce uncertainty, widening exploration when the last response is UNKNOWN;
emits a plan, never RF. 13.

ruview-placement (ADR-305): floorplan + inventory -> ranked placement via the
twin's propagation model; blind-spot flags; predicted-vs-observed adjustment. 11.

ruview-memory (ADR-309): learns per-zone normal physics; anomalies are
significant deltas vs baseline emitted as evidence records; UNKNOWN before a
baseline exists (no false positives). 14.

ruview-counterfactual (ADR-310): scores hypotheses under the twin — empty-room
vs occupied, one person vs two; UNKNOWN when indistinguishable. 8.

Flips ADR-305/306/309/310/311/312 to implemented. Completes all three phases of
the ADR-297 perception-substrate program. No hardware/MEASURED claims.

Claudeandclaude-flow 49c594822f feat: implement ADR-297 phase-2 world-model core — HAL, ground-truth, tracking, fusion
The layer that turns the certificate spine into a modality-agnostic perception
substrate. Four crates, all deterministic and green independently (43 tests).

ruview-hal (ADR-317): one abstraction mapping any modality (CSI/802.11bf/BLE/
UWB/mmWave/acoustic/camera/lidar/IMU/custom) to a canonical ontology Observation.
SensorHal trait + two SYNTHETIC/L0 reference adapters; malformed input yields a
degraded UNKNOWN observation, never a panic; synthetic can never alias measured.
8 tests.

ruview-groundtruth (ADR-300): reference sensors as a formal VALIDATION plane
(never an estimator input, enforced by the type boundary); modality-agnostic
ReferenceSeries, deterministic cross-correlation alignment, AgreementReport with
mandatory SessionScope, emitting per-context ruview-evidence records; Measured
requires reference + coverage + reproducer. 15 tests.

ruview-track (ADR-304): privacy-preserving persistent tracks (opaque person ids,
coarse non-reversible features, no civil-identity binding); ambiguous detections
stay tentative rather than misassigned; cross-zone hand-off. 8 tests.

ruview-fusion (ADR-308): multiple HalObservations -> one probabilistic WorldState,
uncertainty-aware (confidence-weighted, not naive averaging); irreconcilable
conflict or insufficient coverage yields UNKNOWN, not a confident average.
9+ tests incl. irreconcilable_conflict_yields_unknown.

Flips ADR-300/304/308/317 to implemented; registers the four crates as workspace
members. SYNTHETIC/L0 throughout; no hardware/MEASURED claims.

Claudeandclaude-flow 516331461a feat: implement ADR-297 phase-1 dependent wave — OOD, witness, certify, scorecard, policy
Completes the phase-1 certificate spine; both acceptance tests now pass as code.

ruview-ood (ADR-299): domain-distance vs the certified fingerprint and a pure
DomainState KNOWN/DEGRADED/UNKNOWN classifier implementing the ADR-297
VALID->DEGRADED->UNKNOWN staleness guard; InferenceGate suppresses the class
(UNKNOWN as a first-class value) when domain is not KNOWN; RecalibrationRequest
signalled on DEGRADED/UNKNOWN. 25 tests.

ruview-witness (ADR-316): ordered, append-only, BLAKE3 hash-linked stage chain
(observation->DSP->inference->corroboration->spatial->policy) rooted in an
attest VerifiedMeasurement; verify() catches mutation/reorder/dropped/broken
links; effective level is the minimum across stages. 19 tests.

ruview-certify (ADR-315): signed CapabilityCertificate minted from a single-
context evidence slice (never pooled), evidence level capped at the slice floor,
valid_until bounded by calibration validity; is_valid(now, domain) returns false
when expired OR domain != KNOWN (certificate conditional on the live domain
signature). 17 tests incl. non_known_domain_invalidates.

ruview-scorecard (ADR-314): multi-domain scorecard with per-domain CIs,
worst_domain(), and a promotion gate that fails when only pooled average
improved while a worst-domain slice regressed. 17 tests.

ruview-policy (ADR-318): fail-closed action gate; Convenience/Security/
SafetyCritical assurance classes; authorize() denies with a named failed
condition; UNKNOWN denies high-assurance actions. Includes
acceptance_test_b_post_drift_unknown_denies_safety_critical. 10 tests.

All five verified green independently (88 tests). Registers the five crates as
workspace members. SYNTHETIC/L0 reference crypto; no hardware claims.

resolution, EvidenceLevel L0-L5, and a docs-only migration table for the

ruview-attest (ADR-302): DeviceId + SignedMeasurement envelope binding
{device, monotonic sequence, timestamp, payload hash, calibration ref};
AttestationVerifier enforces unknown-device, signature, tamper, strict
per-device sequence (replay), and freshness; Signer/Verifier traits with a
blake3-keyed SYNTHETIC-grade reference MAC (Ed25519 is a drop-in). 14 tests.

ruview-evidence (ADR-301): append-only per-(room,device,subject,model) ledger;
immutable records with provenance-gated constructors (synthetic forces L0,
measured needs a reproducer); summarize() never pools across contexts; a slice
reports the floor evidence level, never above its weakest record. 8 tests.

wifi-densepose-calibration (ADR-298): CalibrationCertificate — signed, versioned
room fingerprint minted from existing calibration/bank state, compare/drift, and
invalidate-on-drift/expiry. 78 tests green.

Registers the three new crates as workspace members. All four verified green
independently. SYNTHETIC/L0 reference crypto; no hardware claims.

Claudeandclaude-flow 01c42d0900 feat(bfld): ADR-291 — wifi-veil emission-shaping countermeasure as advisory dependency
Adds wifi-veil (pinned git rev, dependency-free, MIT/Apache-2.0) to the

The bfld::veil module exposes deterministic attacker-vs-protector shield
assessments (re-ID collapse, throughput ratio, energy-conservation audit)
with a mandatory SYNTHETIC/L0 evidence label. Advisory only: no RF
emission, no frame mutation, BFLD invariants I1-I3 untouched. Default
build unchanged; 6 new feature-gated tests pass.

ruv d781f20e1a feat(wifi-densepose-sar): coherent wideband RF tomography research crate (ADR-283)
New standalone leaf crate implementing the synthetic-aperture-radar
reconstruction primitive a handheld through-wall RF imaging device
would need: a stepped-frequency multi-position complex forward
measurement simulator, delay-and-sum backprojection reconstruction,
point-cloud extraction, and closed-form range/cross-range resolution
+ antenna-pose coherence-budget formulas checked against the
reconstruction's actual behavior in tests/physics_validation.rs.

Motivated by comparing this repo against Applied Electrodynamics'
"WaveSight" launch. Scoped explicitly below ADR-278's RISE/DiffRadar/
GeRaF reproduction gates: this is the bare measurement-model +
backprojection primitive, not a reproduction of any published system
or a claim about real hardware capability. Every number is
SYNTHETIC/L0 (ADR-282) -- no wideband RF hardware backs this crate.

24 tests (21 unit + 3 integration), 0 failed, clippy-clean. Adds a
tutorial walkthrough and MEASURED backprojection benchmark numbers.

rUv 2e018f4f19 feat(ruview-unified): Unified RF spatial world model — ADR-273..282 (#1437)
Native frame contract, universal RF encoder, RF-aware Gaussian spatial memory, physics-guided synthetic RF worlds, edge sensing control plane, BLE-CS + factorized pose. All 10 ADRs (273-282) fully implemented and tested (99 tests); ADR-278 (radar inverse rendering) honestly gated with zero code as a future research program.

Deep-reviewed and hardware-tested against a live ESP32-C6 CSI node before merge: fixed a reachable panic, a silent NaN-corruption path, a cross-entity Gaussian conflation bug, and a wrong-center-frequency bug in the WiFi adapter (confirmed live: was misreporting channel 4 as 2437 MHz, now correctly reports 2427 MHz matching the hardware parser exactly). Added a standing hardware-in-the-loop test (examples/esp32_live_hardware_test.rs). Also fixed unrelated pre-existing issues surfaced during validation (wifi-densepose-core clippy warnings, a ruview-auth Windows build break, a sensing-server test flake).

Dragan SpiridonovandRuflo & AQE 347698b67c feat(auth): browser sign-in — /oauth/start, /oauth/callback, session cookie
Closes the gap adversarial review found: `wifi-densepose login` writes
~/.ruview/credentials.json, which a BROWSER CANNOT READ. The UI therefore had no
way to obtain a Cognitum token at all, and the WebSocket ticket mechanism
ADR-272 built "for browsers" was only exercisable with the legacy static shared
secret OAuth was meant to replace. The ADRs described a browser story that did
not exist.

Ported from cognitum-one/freetokens (src/auth/oauth.ts, live at
freetokens.cognitum.one), whose shape is not the obvious one and is the whole
point:

  THE BROWSER NEVER HOLDS AN OAUTH TOKEN.

The server generates the PKCE verifier and state, keeps them in an HMAC-signed
cookie, performs the code exchange itself, verifies the token, and issues its
OWN session cookie carrying an assertion — subject, account, scope, expiry — not
a credential. So the access token cannot be read by an XSS, cannot sit in
localStorage, and cannot leak through a URL. A stolen session cookie is useless
against Cognitum or any sibling service.

  GET /oauth/start    -> 302 to auth.cognitum.one + signed transaction cookie
  GET /oauth/callback -> constant-time state check, exchange, verify, session
  GET /oauth/logout -> clears the local session (not the Cognitum session)

Verified against the running binary: /oauth/start returns the same 302 +
HttpOnly/SameSite=Lax/Max-Age=600 shape freetokens does live; a forged `state`
is refused 400; a forged session cookie is refused 401.

DELIBERATE DEVIATION from freetokens: no `__Host-` cookie prefix. That prefix
REQUIRES `Secure`, and RuView is routinely reached at http://localhost or over
plain HTTP on a LAN, where such a cookie is never sent and sign-in would fail
silently. `Secure` is set only when the request actually arrived over TLS
(direct or via x-forwarded-proto). Every other attribute matches; the HMAC is
what protects the value.

Other decisions worth stating:
- The callback verifies through the SAME `verify_access_token` every other
  request uses — signature, audience (client_id), typ, expiry, scope. A sign-in
  path must not be a softer path.
- The session cookie is checked LAST in the middleware, after bearer and ticket:
  it is the weakest-bound credential, so a presented bearer should win.
- A browser session requests `sensing:read` only. Admin work goes through the
  CLI's explicit `--admin`.
- The token exchange runs in `spawn_blocking` — `ureq` is blocking, and parking
  an async worker is the mistake this codebase just had to fix in jwks.rs.
- `/oauth/*` sits outside `/api/v1/*` on purpose: gating the routes you use to
  obtain a credential would deadlock.

PKCE moved out from behind the `login` feature into its own light `pkce` feature
(rand + sha2 + base64, no HTTP stack), so the server can build an authorize URL
without pulling in the client-side login machinery. `login` now implies `pkce`.

Tests: 13 new browser_session unit tests — signature round-trip, tampered
payload, wrong secret, malformed cookie values, HttpOnly/SameSite/Secure
attributes, exact scope matching with no implied escalation, a cookie name that
merely ends with the target not matching, multi-scope URL encoding, and the
core property that a session cookie never contains the access token.
Totals: 547 sensing-server lib + 5 wiring integration, 87 ruview-auth.

Dragan SpiridonovandRuflo & AQE b09625ece7 fix(auth): close the four residual findings from the adversarial review
(a) Test fixture still invented an `iss` claim.
    `bearer_auth.rs`'s `token_with_scope` added `"iss": ISSUER` to its tokens.
    Harmless today because the verifier ignores `iss` — but it is the same
    fixture-invents-reality pattern that hid the original `iss` bug for a day,
    sitting in the second-largest auth test suite. Removed, with a pointer to
    ruview-auth's regression test.

(b) Cross-process refresh race -> session revocation.
    The single-flight guarantee was per-PROCESS. Every CLI invocation is a new
    process with its own Session and mutex over one shared credential file, so
    two commands run close together inside the 60s refresh window would each
    present the same rotating refresh token — and the second is replay, which
    identity answers by revoking the whole session family. The user gets logged
    out for running two commands at once.

    Now guarded by an advisory file lock, taken NON-BLOCKING. A busy lock means
    another process is already refreshing, so we wait and re-read its result
    rather than race it (20 x 150ms, then proceed anyway — the lock is advisory,
    not a correctness barrier, and a dead holder must not wedge us). Blocking on
    the lock would have parked the async executor, which is the exact mistake
    just fixed in jwks.rs.

    Unix only. On other platforms it is a documented no-op — a lock that does
    nothing while claiming to protect is worse than none.

(c) One principal could exhaust the global ticket pool.
    The 512 cap was global with no per-caller quota, so a single authenticated
    `sensing:read` client looping on POST /api/v1/ws-ticket could hold every
    slot for 30s and 503 everyone else — denial of service by the
    lowest-privilege account the product issues. Added a 16-ticket
    per-principal cap; a page needs a handful. Test asserts a noisy user hits
    its own cap while a second user is still served and the global pool is
    never exhausted.

(d) Debug impls printed live credentials.
    `AuthState` derived Debug over the raw RUVIEW_API_TOKEN and
    `StoredCredentials` over both OAuth tokens. Not leaking today — I checked
    every call site — but this PR had already hand-written redacting Debug for
    `OAuthState` and `TicketStore` for exactly this reason, and the two types
    actually holding secrets were the ones that missed out. Both now redact.

Tests: 87 ruview-auth (2 new: lock exclusivity + non-blocking, Debug
redaction), 534 sensing-server (1 new: per-principal quota).

Dragan SpiridonovandRuflo & AQE 7d6d66941a feat(ws): single-use WebSocket ticket store (ADR-272 groundwork)
Audit finding this exists to close — verified empirically, not inferred. With
RUVIEW_API_TOKEN set (operator believes auth is ON), a real WebSocket handshake
carrying NO credential:

  /ws/sensing         -> 101 Switching Protocols
  /ws/introspection   -> 101 Switching Protocols
  /api/v1/stream/pose -> 101 Switching Protocols
  /api/v1/models -> 401 (control: REST is correctly gated)

The REST control plane is locked while the DATA plane — live presence, pose and
vitals — is open to anyone who can reach the port. Two of those paths sit
outside PROTECTED_PREFIX entirely; the third is the documented EXEMPT_PATHS
entry. The exemption was reasonable when added (a browser cannot set
Authorization on an upgrade) but its blast radius is larger than it looks, and
phase 3 sharpened the contrast by making REST genuinely strong.

(To be precise about what was proven: the handshake is accepted. A payload
frame was not captured in that window, so this is "the connection is
established without a credential", not "data was read".)

This commit adds only the store; wiring it into the middleware is a breaking
change for browser clients and lands with the UI update.

Design notes:
- Single use. `consume` REMOVES the entry, so a replay of the same URL fails
  even inside the TTL. This is what makes a credential-in-a-query tolerable:
  by the time it reaches an access log or a Referer header, it is spent.
- 30-second TTL. Long enough for a page to open a socket; too short to harvest.
- It is not the credential. It authorizes one WebSocket. It cannot be replayed
  against /api/v1/*, cannot be refreshed, and carries no reusable identity.
- The grant captures the ISSUING principal's scopes, so a WebSocket inherits
  exactly the authority of the credential that asked for it — a sensing:read
  session cannot mint a ticket that outranks itself.
- Capped at 512 outstanding, self-healing as tickets expire, so an
  authenticated but misbehaving caller cannot grow the map without bound.
- In-memory because that is correct, not merely convenient: a ticket surviving
  a restart would outlive the server that vouched for it.

Native clients (Python, Rust CLI, TS MCP) are NOT browsers and will send a
normal Authorization header on the upgrade instead — tickets would add a
round-trip and a second credential path for no benefit.

12 tests: single-use enforced, replay refused, expiry refused AND pruned,
unknown ticket refused, 256-bit unpredictability, grant carries issuer scopes,
cap enforced and self-healing, and query parsing including `?myticket=x` not
being read as `?ticket=x`.

Dragan SpiridonovandRuflo & AQE 6d3fb88677 fix(cli): resolve scope from the token on read, and add whoami --refresh
Two gaps that only appear with a credential file written by an earlier build —
i.e. exactly the case a fresh-login test never exercises.

1. `whoami` printed "Scope: (not reported)" for an existing file. The previous
   commit resolved scope from the token claim at WRITE time only, so files
   written before it stayed blank forever. `effective_scope()` now falls back at
   READ time, which fixes existing files and any client that stored only what
   the token response carried. The token is authoritative either way; the stored
   field is a convenience copy.

2. `whoami` said the token "will refresh on next use" — a promise nothing kept,
   because no command called `ensure_fresh`. The refresh path was implemented
   and unit-tested but never actually run. `--refresh` exercises it, and goes
   through `Session::ensure_fresh` rather than reimplementing a second, subtly
   different refresh, so it inherits the single-flight guarantee and the
   persist-before-return ordering.

   It is a flag, not silent behaviour: refreshing rotates the stored refresh
   token — identity spends the old one — so it is a state change, not a read.

VERIFIED AGAINST PRODUCTION, end to end:
  whoami on a pre-existing file -> Scope: sensing:read (was "not reported")
  whoami --refresh -> both tokens rotated
                                          refresh sha256[:12] 50cfa06b -> 2d37617a
                                          access  sha256[:12] 61eebe8d -> 14d8e8de
                                          status: expired -> valid
  refreshed token GET  /api/v1/models      -> 200
  refreshed token POST /api/v1/train/start -> 401 (still read-scoped)

That exercises the rotating-refresh path against identity's real reuse
detection — the one place a bug costs the user their session rather than a
retry — and confirms the scope gate survives a refresh.

Tests: 82 with --features login, 44 default, 501 sensing-server.

Dragan SpiridonovandRuflo & AQE 31fb3d53f6 feat(cli): wifi-densepose login — Cognitum sign-in (ADR-271 phase 2)
Phase 1 could verify a token and phase 3 could gate on one, but there was no
way for a user to OBTAIN one. This closes that: sign in with a Cognitum account
and get a token a RuView sensing server accepts, instead of everyone sharing
one static RUVIEW_API_TOKEN string.

Lives in `ruview-auth` behind a non-default `login` feature rather than in the
CLI, so the Tauri desktop app can reuse it instead of growing a second copy.
A server built with default features still gets the verifier and nothing else —
no reqwest, no tokio net, no browser launcher. (This amends ADR-271's "no login
flow in this crate" note; the reason for that line was to keep the server lean,
and a feature gate achieves it without duplication.)

Ported from meta-proxy's src/oauth/, cross-checked against musica's
cognitum_provider.rs — two independent implementations against this same AS.
Where they agree, this follows both: redirect path EXACTLY /oauth/callback,
60-second refresh skew, OOB fallback on SSH/CONTAINER//.dockerenv.

Refresh is the part with teeth. Identity rotates refresh tokens with reuse
detection, so presenting a spent one revokes the whole session family. Both
obvious implementations are wrong: refreshing concurrently looks like replay,
and retrying a failed refresh with the same token IS the replay. So
`Session::ensure_fresh` holds an async mutex across the await, re-checks expiry
after acquiring it (the waiter usually finds the work already done), persists
the rotated token BEFORE returning it, and never retries. A missing expires_at
counts as expired rather than being given a guessed default.

Least scope by default: `login` requests `sensing:read`. `--admin` adds
`sensing:admin` explicitly, and requests both because there is no scope
hierarchy server-side. A session that streams poses should not casually hold
the capability to delete the model it streams through.

Credentials are written atomically and 0600 (temp file, chmod BEFORE rename) —
the same discipline the seed applies to its cloud key. `logout` is local-only
and says so: it makes this machine unable to act as you, but revoking the
session everywhere is an account-level action.

Also `whoami`, which reports whether the stored token is live — an
expired-looking session is the most common reason a command starts 401ing, and
it should be visible directly rather than inferred from a failure elsewhere.

Verified against PRODUCTION, not just locally: authorize URLs built by this
exact code path return HTTP 200 from auth.cognitum.one for both
`sensing:read` and `sensing:read sensing:admin`, which exercises the real
client_id, scope encoding, PKCE parameters and redirect_uri shape.

Tests: 74 with --features login (51 unit + 21 verifier matrix + 2 doctests),
including the RFC 7636 Appendix B vector, multi-scope URL encoding (a space
that is hand-formatted rather than encoded silently truncates the request), a
real TCP callback round-trip, callback timeout, 0600 permissions asserted on
disk, atomic-save leaving no temp file, and refresh-window boundaries.
Unchanged: 43 with default features, 501 in the sensing server.

Dragan SpiridonovandRuflo & AQE c2bd33e649 feat(sensing-server): accept Cognitum OAuth on /api/v1/*, scope-gated (ADR-271 phase 3)
Wires `ruview-auth` into `bearer_auth.rs`. `RUVIEW_OAUTH_ISSUER` enables it;
unset, nothing changes.

Layering, in order:
  1. `RUVIEW_API_TOKEN` set and the bearer matches exactly -> allow. Byte-for-
     byte today's behaviour.
  2. Otherwise, if OAuth is configured, verify the bearer as a Cognitum access
     token and require the scope the route needs.
  3. Otherwise 401.

The static compare goes first for compatibility, not security: a matching
static token is not a JWT and a JWT never matches the static token. It means an
existing deployment behaves identically even with OAuth switched on.

Scope gate (`required_scope_for`), split by blast radius per ADR-060 —
"can this destroy something", not how many routes it covers:
  sensing:admin /api/v1/train/* (hours of Pi CPU, writes models)
                 DELETE /api/v1/models/{id}      (irreversible)
                 DELETE /api/v1/recording/{id}   (irreversible)
  sensing:read   everything else
Deliberately NOT admin: model load/unload and recording start. They mutate
server state but destroy nothing, and gating them would push routine dashboard
use into requesting delete capability — the opposite of least privilege.

The legacy static token stays un-scope-gated. It predates scopes and carries no
claims, so narrowing it would be a silent breaking change to deployments using
it; migrating to OAuth is how an operator opts into the finer split.

FAIL CLOSED at boot. If OAuth is requested but cannot work — empty issuer, or a
JWKS we cannot fetch — the server logs why and exits rather than serving.
Starting anyway would silently downgrade an operator who asked for OAuth to
either an open API or a shared-secret one, with no signal it happened. The JWKS
is warmed eagerly for the same reason: a bad `jwks_uri` should die at boot with
a legible message, not surface as a puzzling 401 an hour later.

The verified `Principal` is attached to request extensions, so handlers and
audit logs can attribute a request (`sub`, `account_id`, `org_id`,
`workspace_id`, `jti`) instead of knowing only "someone had the secret". That
is the point of moving off a shared bearer.

Verification failures are logged with the reason and returned as a flat 401 —
the reason is useful to an operator and equally useful to an attacker probing
for which claim to forge next.

Also aligns `ruview_auth::extract_bearer` to match the scheme
case-insensitively (RFC 7235 §2.1). The sensing server has always done this
deliberately, with a comment saying why; the two layers disagreeing about what
a valid header looks like would be a latent bug.

Tests: 16 new in `bearer_auth::oauth_tests`, driving a real Router end to end
(request -> middleware -> verifier -> handler) with ES256 tokens signed by a
runtime-generated key. Covers the scope policy as a pure function, read-scoped
tokens refused on delete and train, admin-scoped tokens allowed, an
`inference`-only token from another Cognitum product refused on every route,
garbage and absent bearers, both legacy-token layering directions, the
principal reaching a handler, and the unset case remaining a no-op.

`cargo test -p wifi-densepose-sensing-server --lib --no-default-features`:
501 passed, 0 failed. `ruview-auth`: 43 passed across both feature configs.

Dragan SpiridonovandRuflo & AQE 499cec7914 feat(auth): ruview-auth — offline Cognitum OAuth access-token verification (ADR-271)
RuView's `/api/v1/*` is gated today by `RUVIEW_API_TOKEN`: one shared secret,
no expiry, no per-user attribution. This adds the verifier half of replacing
that with Cognitum identity — RuView as an OAuth **resource server**, so a user
signs in to their own sensing server with their Cognitum account.

Note the direction: RuView does not call Cognitum. It never obtains a token for
its own use; it verifies tokens users present. Every other Cognitum OAuth
integration in the org (meta-proxy, musica, metaharness, the dashboard CLI) is
the client side of a plane RuView doesn't have. The one existing resource-server
verifier is `meta-llm/src/auth/oauthBearer.ts`, and this crate is a port of its
accept-rule — divergence would be a bug, not a preference: a token meta-llm
rejects must not be one RuView accepts.

Verification is OFFLINE, and that is a requirement rather than an optimisation.
RuView runs on Pi-class hardware that loses WAN, and identity publishes no
introspection endpoint even when the network is up. So: ES256 over identity's
published JWKS, cached by `kid`.

What it accepts, mirroring oauthBearer.ts:
  typ == "access" AND NOT setup AND NOT workload AND account_id non-empty AND
  exp in the future AND iss matches verbatim AND the required scope is held.

Long-lived setup (365-day) and workload credentials are refused outright for
identity's own stated reason: their revocation lives in `oauth_setup_tokens`,
and RuView — like meta-llm — has no database to check it. A 15-minute access
token needs no revocation round-trip because it expires faster than revocation
propagates; a 365-day one does.

Scope is the capability boundary, and it has to be. Cognitum access tokens carry
no `aud`, and `client_id` cannot substitute because clients borrow each other's
registrations (musica ships DEFAULT_CLIENT_ID = "meta-proxy"). `sensing:read`
covers streams and inference; `sensing:admin` covers training, model delete and
recording delete. No hierarchy — admin does not imply read; consent means what
it said. Registered in identity migration 0016 (cognitum-one/dashboard#116).

Design notes:
- `ureq`, not `reqwest`: the sensing server deliberately chose ureq as "the
  smallest" HTTP client, and pulling reqwest in here would reverse that for the
  whole graph. Transport sits behind a `JwksFetcher` trait, so a host can supply
  its own and take no HTTP dependency at all (feature `ureq-transport`, default).
- A JWKS refetch failure is survivable while a key set is already cached: a key
  that verified a minute ago has not stopped being valid because the network
  blipped, and failing closed there logs every user out of their own sensing
  server whenever their internet wobbles. We fail closed in exactly one case —
  no key set has ever been fetched.
- Unknown `kid` forces one refetch so rotation is picked up without waiting out
  the TTL, rate-limited so junk-kid tokens can't become a request amplifier
  aimed at identity.
- Expiry is reported distinctly from a bad signature: on an RTC-less Pi that is
  usually a clock-sync fault, and an operator must be able to tell them apart.
- Test keypairs are generated at runtime, never committed. This repo tracks zero
  `.pem` files and committed key material shouldn't start here — it also means
  no fixture can drift out of sync with the JWKS it's served by.

Tests: 41 green (19 unit + 21 matrix + 1 doctest) under BOTH
`cargo test --no-default-features` (the repo's canonical gate) and default
features. The matrix signs real ES256 tokens rather than asserting on strings,
and covers alg:none, forged signature, spliced payload, unknown kid, expired,
leeway boundaries both sides, wrong issuer, issuer differing only by a trailing
slash, missing/!=access typ, setup and workload smuggled onto typ=access,
missing and empty account_id, and scope escalation.

The highest-value case is `g2_a_genuinely_valid_token_from_another_cognitum_
product_cannot_reach_the_sensing_surface`: a correctly signed, unexpired,
right-issuer, right-typ token with client_id=meta-proxy and scope=inference is
rejected. Nothing about its signature or identity claims distinguishes it — only
scope does. A naive verifier accepts it, and an `inference` token becomes a key
to someone's home sensor.

No wiring into the sensing server yet; this crate is verification only, with no
login flow and no outbound Cognitum calls.

ruv a47bb71b22 fix(adr-185): hoist AETHER compute surface into a std-only leaf crate
ADR-185 §13 flagged the `[aether]` wheel as linking the whole
`wifi-densepose-sensing-server` Axum/tokio/worldgraph/ruvector tree via the
non-optional deps of that crate. Hoist the pure-compute AETHER stack out so the
binding depends only on pure Rust.

New crate `wifi-densepose-aether` (std-only, ZERO external deps) holds the four
self-contained modules the AETHER surface needs — `embedding`, `graph_transformer`,
`sona`, `sparse_inference` (verified: no serde/tokio/axum/crate:: refs outside the
set; the four form a closed dependency graph). `wifi-densepose-sensing-server`
now `pub use`s them from the leaf crate, so its own code (`crate::embedding`, …)
and public API (`wifi_densepose_sensing_server::embedding`, …) are unchanged —
`main.rs`/`trainer.rs` untouched. The Python binding + parity test + `[aether]`
feature repoint at the leaf crate; the sensing-server dep is dropped from python.

MEASURED wheel size (maturin build --release --features aether --strip; each
wheel install-verified to actually contain `AetherConfig`):
  BEFORE (aether -> sensing-server): 369,782 B (~361 KB)
  AFTER  (aether -> leaf crate):     319,719 B (~312 KB)

HONEST CORRECTION to the §9/§13 premise: the pre-hoist wheel was NOT over the
ADR-117 §5.4 5 MB budget — it was ~361 KB, ~14x under. Linker dead-code
elimination (--gc-sections on the pyo3 cdylib) already strips the unreached
server tree because the binding only reaches pure-compute symbols. So this is
"blows the budget" CLAIMED, not MEASURED. The hoist is still worthwhile and
lands the real, measured wins:
  - `[aether]` build time 71s -> 12s (no server tree to compile),
  - python/Cargo.lock -1238 lines (server tree no longer resolved),
  - ~50 KB smaller wheel,
  - honest, minimal declared dependency surface + removes the latent risk that a
    future change makes some server code reachable and *then* bloats the wheel.

Verified this session (real counts):
  - cargo test --features aether --test aether_parity: 2 passed / 0 failed
  - pytest tests/test_aether.py (maturin develop --features aether): 9 passed
  - cargo test -p wifi-densepose-sensing-server --no-default-features: 217 bin +
    388 lib, 0 failed (no regression)
  - cargo test -p wifi-densepose-aether: 96 passed (the relocated unit tests)

The §9/§13 wheel-size narrative in ADR-185 (owned by the ADR author) should be
corrected to reflect the measured reality — flagged to the team lead.

ruv 65648fe4c2 feat(adr-186): P5/P6 + acceptance verification — dashboard honesty, HTTP tests, Accepted
Completes ADR-186 phases P5 (dashboard honesty / fallback guarantee) and P6
(tests + witness) on top of the P1–P4 reconnection, and flips the ADR to Accepted.

P5 — dashboard honesty:
- Backend (training_api): a runtime enablement gate (`RUVIEW_DISABLE_SERVER_TRAINING`)
  makes the three start endpoints return a structured `{enabled:false, reason,
  cli:"wifi-densepose train-room"}` HTTP 409 (never a silent success) when server
  training is disabled; `/api/v1/train/status` now carries an `enabled` flag. A runtime
  flag (not a Cargo feature) so `--no-default-features` builds keep training ON (resolves
  §9.4). Handlers return `Response` to carry the 409.
- Frontend (TrainingPanel.js): reads `enabled` off the status payload and disables the
  Start/Pretrain/LoRA buttons with a CLI tooltip when server training is off; a rejected
  start tears down the optimistically-opened WS and refreshes. The enabled path was
  already fully wired (opens the WS before POST, renders live epoch/loss/ETA + terminal
  state) — verified.

P6 — tests & witness:
- New HTTP-level tests in a `#[cfg(test)] mod adr186_http_tests` built on a minimal
  `AppStateInner::minimal()` test-state helper: a live-socket test that completes a
  genuine 101 WebSocket handshake (tokio-tungstenite) and receives a real progress frame
  after a POST start; a 426-not-404 route-wired check; a full POST→poll-status→`.rvf`-exists
  round-trip; and the disabled-409 structured-response test. Added `tokio-tungstenite`
  dev-dep (version already in the workspace lock).
- CHANGELOG updated; ADR §6 ledger + §7 acceptance criteria checked off with evidence;
  Status → Accepted. README/CLAUDE have no training route table (no edit needed).

Fixed a test-only parallelism race found under `cargo test --workspace`: two
model-writing tests deleted `.rvf`s by directory-diff and could remove a file a third
test asserted existed. Each test now cleans only its own artifact (data/models is
gitignored).

Verified this session: `cargo test -p wifi-densepose-sensing-server -p wifi-densepose-train
--no-default-features` — sensing-server bin 217 passed / 0 failed, all train suites 0
failed. Full `--workspace` re-run in progress to reconfirm untouched crates.

ruv 82c1b8fdf8 chore: bump wifi-densepose-signal 0.3.5 for crates.io (#1334)
Published 0.3.4 predates HardwareNormalizer::resample_to_canonical and
MultistaticConfig::for_tdm_schedule, which the sensing-server binary
uses — its publish verify fails against the registry 0.3.4. The in-repo
version had not been bumped since those APIs landed.

rUvandNick Ruest 20ad75f30c feat(ADR-131): HOMECORE-UI dashboard + BFF gateway — review-fixed (supersedes #1082) (#1099)
* feat(ADR-131): HOMECORE-UI operational dashboard + BFF gateway

Complete two-tier Cognitum operator dashboard (ADR-131), served by
homecore-server at /homecore, plus the single-origin BFF gateway that
wires it to real backends.

Front-end (zero-dep vanilla TS/JS + CSS, exact Cognitum design tokens):
- All 10 panels (§4.1-4.10): dashboard, SEED fleet + detail, fleet map,
  entities (live WS subscribe_events, never polls), rooms, COGs,
  calibration wizard, events + automation builder, witness/audit, settings.
- §6 UX invariants in code: first-class provenance, prominent stale/veto/
  fragility, null(not-trained) vs withheld vs error, --mono everywhere,
  Hailo vs CPU COG distinction.
- api.js calls the gateway routes in production; mock demoted to a
  dev-only ?demo=1 fixture (no mock in prod); typed error states.
- Tests under plain node: import-graph, boot, render-smoke (22),
  interaction (3), prod-errors (13) — 5 files green; bundle ~137 KB
  (~37x smaller than HA), <2 ms/cold-render.

BFF gateway (homecore-server/src/gateway.rs, compiled + tested on Rust 1.89):
- /api/cal/* reverse-proxy to the calibration API (ADR-151).
- GET /api/homecore/rooms with the RoomState adapter (breathing->breathing_bpm,
  heartbeat:null->heart_bpm:null, injected anomaly.threshold/room_id).
- GET /api/homecore/cogs supervisor over /var/lib/cognitum/apps/.
- GET /api/homecore/appliance from /proc + TCP service probes.
- SEED-device/appliance routes return typed 503 upstream_unavailable.
- cargo test -p homecore-server = 12/12; run live (curl-verified);
  fixed a real double-v1 proxy-URL bug found during live testing.

Honest scope: W1/W2/W4/W6-appliance functional; W3/W5/W6-Hailo/federation
return typed 503 (depend on services/hardware not in this repo).

* fix(homecore-ui): resolve code-review findings — SSRF guard, CORS/trace coverage, §6 honesty, crash guards

Addresses the high-effort review of PR #1082:
- SECURITY: cal_proxy rejects path-traversal/confused-deputy SSRF (`.`/`..`
  segments, backslash, %2e%2e/%2f, absolute) on raw+decoded forms → 400,
  before attaching the server-side calibration bearer.
- CORRECTNESS: /api/homecore/* + /api/cal/* now covered by the shared CORS
  allowlist (build_cors_layer, exported from homecore-api) + TraceLayer —
  previously merged outside router()'s layers (no CORS, no tracing).
- §6 HONESTY (no fabricated data): dashboard renders '—' for null metrics
  (not "null%"/"null°C"); cogs Hailo pill reflects the REAL appliance probe
  (not hardcoded "connected"); room anomaly threshold passed through / null,
  not a fabricated 0.5.
- ROBUSTNESS: cogs asArray(hef) guards a non-array manifest field; calibration
  progress guards target<=0 (no NaN%/Infinity%); restart clears the poll timer.
- CLEANUP: mock.js is now a cached DYNAMIC import (demo-only) — never bundled
  in production (§2.2).
- New ui/tests/unit-fixes.mjs pins the above; ADR-131 + CHANGELOG updated.

rUvandruv df617145d6 feat(ADR-262 P3): live /api/field + /ws/field — RuView sensing speaks RuField (fail-closed egress) (#1071)
* feat(ADR-262 P3): live RuField surface — RuView sensing speaks RuField on /api/field + /ws/field

Wire the P1 `wifi-densepose-rufield` bridge into the live
`wifi-densepose-sensing-server` so the governed sensing cycle emits real
signed RuField `FieldEvent`s on two additive endpoints.

- Cargo: add the `wifi-densepose-rufield` path dep (the single coupling
  point, ADR-262 §5.4 — no new RuView-internal coupling).
- New `src/rufield_surface.rs` (kept out of the 8k-line main.rs):
  `FieldSurface` holds a dedicated ed25519 `Signer` + a bounded ring of
  recent events + the `/ws/field` broadcast topic; `GET /api/field` and
  `GET /ws/field` handlers; a standalone `router()` for isolated testing.
- Signer (defers the P2 key decision, ADR-262 §8 Q1): a STANDALONE
  dev/sensing key from `WDP_RUFIELD_SIGNING_SEED`, else a deterministic
  dev default with a logged WARN. Reusing the `cog-ha-matter` Ed25519
  key is the deferred P2 call — P3 does not pre-empt it.
- Tap: at the ESP32 governed-trust cycle (`main.rs` ~5886 observe_cycle
  / ~5938 SensingUpdate build), `emit_rufield_event` joins the cycle's
  features/classification/signal_field with the engine's
  effective_class/demoted trust state into a `SensingSnapshot` and
  surfaces it via the bridge. Existing endpoints (`/ws/sensing` etc.)
  are unchanged — purely additive.
- Privacy egress: `network_egress_allowed` is fail-closed for an
  unattended live surface — only P1/P2 leave the box; P0 raw and
  P3/P4/P5 (identity/biometric/aggregate) are held edge-local. A
  `Derived` cycle maps to P4/P5 and never surfaces.
- No-phantom: `emit` drops no-presence cycles (no fabricated events).

Gates (tests/rufield_surface_test.rs, tower::oneshot, 4/0): well-formed
signed event (WifiCsi, P2 not P1, is_fusable, real timestamp); empty
cycle → no phantom; Derived trust never surfaces; mixed stream surfaces
only egress-safe events.

Honesty (ADR-262 §0/§6): real plumbing on a live endpoint, NOT accuracy.
Single-link CSI with its existing caveats (no validated room-coordinate
accuracy); dedicated dev signing key pending the P2 ownership decision;
no accuracy claim.

Co-Authored-By: claude-flow <ruv@ruv.net>

* docs(ADR-262 P3): mark P1+P3 implemented; document /api/field + /ws/field; CHANGELOG

- ADR-262 Status → "P1 + P3 implemented"; add a P3 implementation-status
  block (tap site, endpoints, dedicated dev signer deferring the §8 Q1
  key decision, fail-closed egress, gates). Keep the honesty framing:
  real plumbing on a live endpoint, not accuracy.
- CHANGELOG [Unreleased]: add the ADR-262 P3 entry.
- user-guide: add `/api/field` to the REST table + a "RuField surface
  (ADR-262 P3)" section covering `/api/field` + `/ws/field`, the
  fail-closed P1/P2-only egress, the WDP_RUFIELD_SIGNING_SEED dev key,
  and the no-accuracy honesty note.

* ci: checkout submodules everywhere + Dockerfile copies vendor/rufield

Making wifi-densepose-rufield (ADR-262 bridge) a v2 workspace member means
EVERY cargo-on-workspace context must have the vendor/rufield submodule
present (cargo loads all member manifests). P1 only fixed the rust-tests
job; this adds `submodules: recursive` to all workflow checkouts that run
cargo (mqtt-integration was failing on the missing submodule manifest), and
makes Dockerfile.rust COPY vendor/rufield/ to /vendor/rufield (matches the
bridge's ../../../vendor/rufield path-dep under the collapsed Docker layout).
update-submodules.yml left alone (it manages submodules itself).

rUv f250149e94 feat(ADR-262 P1): wifi-densepose-rufield bridge — RuView sensing → signed RuField FieldEvents (fail-closed privacy map) (#1070)
* feat(rufield): ADR-262 P1 — wifi-densepose-rufield anti-corruption bridge

New v2 workspace member that converts RuView WiFi-CSI sensing output into
signed RuField FieldEvents. Path-deps the vendor/rufield submodule crates
(rufield-core/-provenance/-privacy/-fusion); single coupling point between
RuView and the standalone RuField MFS spec (ADR-262 §5.4).

- SensingSnapshot: owned primitives mirroring SensingUpdate + TrustedOutput
  (no dependency on wifi-densepose-sensing-server).
- snapshot_to_field_event(): builds a WifiCsi FieldTensor + Observation,
  derives a real position from the signal-field peak (never fabricated),
  real sha256 provenance + ed25519 signature (synthetic=false).
- map_privacy() (§3.3 crux): maps by information content, NEVER byte value —
  Derived (byte 1) → P4/P5, never P1; fail-closed demotion floor to P2.

P1 gates (tests/p1_gates.rs): round-trip serde, is_fusable verified receipt,
RuFieldFusion::ingest accept + infer runs, privacy-safety (Derived never P1),
full §3.3 table, fail-closed demotion, determinism, no-fabricated-position.
15 tests pass (5 unit + 9 integration + 1 doc), 0 failed.

Honesty: P1 plumbing (tested conversion + safe privacy mapping), NOT wired
into the live server (P3) and NOT an accuracy claim.

* docs(adr-262): mark P1 implemented + CI submodules:recursive + CHANGELOG/CLAUDE

- ADR-262 Status → "Proposed — P1 implemented"; add §0.1 Implementation
  status (the bridge crate + the five P1 gates that pass; defers the
  provenance-carrier reuse, P3 live wiring, and P4 multi-modality).
- ci.yml: add `submodules: recursive` to the rust-tests checkout so the new
  crate's `vendor/rufield` path-deps resolve in CI (they fail otherwise even
  though the workspace build passes locally with the submodule present).
- CHANGELOG [Unreleased]: P1 bridge entry (kept alongside the upstream
  ADR-262 research entry).
- CLAUDE.md: crate table row for `wifi-densepose-rufield`.

rUv 865f9dee77 perf(beyond-sota): ADR-154 M2 — FFT planner hoist (1.84x, bit-identical) + 3 honest perf nulls + boundary tests (#1055)
* perf(signal): hoist FFT planner across subcarriers (ADR-154 §7.4 #20)

compute_multi_subcarrier_spectrogram called compute_spectrogram once per
subcarrier, and each call built a fresh FftPlanner + re-planned the same
length-window_size FFT. Hoist the plan + window out of the per-subcarrier
loop via a new compute_spectrogram_with_plan core that takes a pre-planned
Arc<dyn Fft> and pre-built window. compute_spectrogram delegates to it
(unchanged behaviour); the multi-subcarrier path plans once and reuses.

MEASURED-HOT (dsp_perf_bench, this box): at 56 subcarriers, window 128,
fresh-planner-per-subcarrier 467.88 µs -> hoisted-plan 254.75 µs = 1.84x;
window 256: 627.27 µs -> 448.39 µs = 1.40x. Plan-forward cost alone is
~1.86 µs (w128), x56 subcarriers ~= the removed delta.

Output is bit-identical: multi_subcarrier_hoisted_plan_bit_identical
compares f64::to_bits of every spectrogram value + freq/time resolution
against the per-call fresh-planner path across all 4 window functions x
{power,magnitude} on a 56-subcarrier matrix. The numeric STFT body is the
old loop verbatim; only plan/window construction is lifted.

* test(signal): boundary/tolerance tests for ADR-154 §7.4 #14 #16 #19

Three "+ test" backlog gaps closed — pure additions, no behaviour change
(phase_align refactor is internal: estimate_phase_offsets still returns the
identical offset vector; a counted core is split out only to observe the
iteration count).

#14 cir.rs fft_operator — fft_operator_within_tolerance_of_dense_canonical56:
  the opt-in FFT Φ/Φᴴ path changes the witness hash, so pin it numerically
  CLOSE to the dense path (not silently divergent). Asserts the full Cir
  output (every tap within 1e-2·dominant, dominant idx/ratio, active_tap_count,
  ranging_valid, rms_delay_spread) on the production canonical-56 config
  across τ ∈ {20,50,90} ns. Extends the existing HT20/single-τ test.

#16 phase_align.rs — refinement_terminates_at_iteration_cap_when_not_converging:
  forces non-convergence (tolerance=0.0, unreachable) and asserts the loop
  runs exactly max_iterations then returns — proving the cap, not convergence,
  bounds the loop (no infinite spin). Companion
  refinement_converges_before_cap_on_easy_input proves the cap is an upper
  bound, not the only exit.

#19 csi_ratio.rs — ratio_finite_at_and_below_1e_12_epsilon: the module
  implements the CSI ratio as the conjugate product H_i·conj(H_j) (no
  division), so it is finite even at/below the 1e-12 magnitude boundary a
  naive H_i/H_j division would need an epsilon to guard. Pins finiteness +
  bit-exact conjugate product at the boundary (zero target → zero, never
  inf/NaN), through the amplitude/phase extraction.

cargo test -p wifi-densepose-signal --no-default-features --lib: 447 passed,
0 failed; --features cir --lib: 447 passed, 0 failed.

* docs(adr-154): record Milestone-2 P2-perf verdicts + boundary tests (§7.4)

§7.4: #20 MEASURED-HOT (1.40–1.84× spectrogram FFT-plan hoist, bit-identical);
#5/#6/#7 MEASURED-NULL (benched, not hot, left as-is — sub-µs / stack-only /
alloc-once); #8 MEASUREMENT-ONLY (per-call 56×56 eigh cost; eigenvalue/BLAS
backend un-buildable on this Windows host, number deferred to a BLAS box, NOT
fabricated; also corrects the finding — extract_perturbation reuses cached
modes, the recompute is in estimate_occupancy). #14/#16/#19 RESOLVED (tolerance
/ convergence-cap / epsilon-boundary tests). Updated §7.4 intro + Horizon-ledger
(deferred count 41→36). CHANGELOG [Unreleased] entry added.

Co-Authored-By: claude-flow <ruv@ruv.net>

* bench(signal): committed P2 bench-first benches (ADR-154 §7.4 #5/#6/#7/#8/#20)

New dsp_perf_bench.rs backs every Milestone-2 perf verdict with a committed
criterion bench — no speedup claimed without a before/after number here, and
a benched NULL is the proof a micro-opt was unnecessary (the §5.x "already
amortized" pattern). Registered in Cargo.toml [[bench]].

MEASURED (this box, criterion medians):
  #20 spectrogram_multi_subcarrier (fresh vs hoisted plan):
      MEASURED-HOT — 467.88→254.75 µs (1.84x) @ sc56/w128; 627.27→448.39 µs
      (1.40x) @ sc56/w256. Optimized in the prior commit.
  #5 multistatic_attention/weights: MEASURED-NULL — 181 ns (2 nodes) ..
      848 ns (8 nodes); sub-µs, no hot-path alloc — left as-is.
  #6 tomography_reconstruct/solve: MEASURED-NULL — 47.5 µs (16 links) /
      60.4 µs (32 links) for a full 50-iter ISTA solve; the 2 per-solve voxel
      buffers (~4 KB) are negligible vs O(iters·links·voxels) compute, and
      reconstruct(&self) reuses them across iterations already — left as-is.
  #7 pose_kalman_update/cycles: MEASURED-NULL — 150 ns (17 kpts) / 2.82 µs
      (170); the Kalman "gain matrices" are fixed-size STACK arrays
      ([[f32;3];6]), zero heap — nothing to reuse — left as-is.
  #8 field_model_occupancy (eigenvalue feature): MEASUREMENT-ONLY — quantifies
      the per-call n×n eigendecomposition cost; incremental SVD is a sized
      future project, not attempted (number recorded in ADR-154 §7.4).

Reproduce:
  cargo bench -p wifi-densepose-signal --no-default-features --bench dsp_perf_bench
  cargo bench -p wifi-densepose-signal --bench dsp_perf_bench  # adds #8

Cargo.lock: dev-dep (criterion/clap) graph + crate version bumps from the
build; no runtime-dependency change.

ruv 7c13ec6a00 bench(cogs): steady-state CPU infer latency benches (ADR-163 T2)
Criterion benches over InferenceEngine::infer for cog-person-count and
cog-pose-estimation, on Device::Cpu with the real shipped safetensors
weights (asserts candle backend so the stub is never silently benched),
over a fixed CSI window after a warm-up forward.

HOST-MEASURED steady-state medians (idle box): ~305us each. This is the
recurring per-frame cost and is explicitly NOT the pose manifest's
cold_start_ms_avg=5.4 (a different measurement, weight-load included, taken
on ruvultra/RTX 5080) -- the two are labelled and not conflated.

Closes the ADR-159/160 deferred cog inference-latency item. No production-

ruv 0ca903b497 feat(homecore-plugins): enforce plugin signature + capability isolation (ADR-162 P4/P5)
ADR-161 honestly relabelled the manifest's wasm_module_hash / wasm_module_sig /
publisher_key as "(P4 — not yet enforced)" and the homecore_permissions claims
as deferred P5 authority isolation. This makes both real and tested.

P4 (signature/integrity verification, SECURITY):
- New `verify` module: SHA-256 module-hash check + Ed25519 signature
  verification over the digest against publisher_key, with a PluginPolicy
  trust allowlist and an explicit AllowUnsigned dev escape hatch (loud warn).
  Secure default rejects unsigned / unknown-publisher / tampered modules.
- Reuses the in-repo cog-ha-matter::witness_signing Ed25519 pattern; sha2 is a
  workspace dep, ed25519-dalek/hex/base64 already in the lock — no new external
  dep tree (only new edges in homecore-plugins).
- WasmtimeRuntime::load_plugin verifies before instantiation; legacy load_wasm
  retained for trusted/test modules.

P5 (authority/capability isolation, SECURITY):
- New `permissions` module: PermissionSet distilled from homecore_permissions
  (state:write:<glob> or bare entity glob). hc_state_set now consults it and
  returns a typed -3 to the guest on an undeclared write (no host panic).

Tests (fail on old code, which had no load_plugin/verify and an unchecked
hc_state_set): tampered module rejected; valid sig from trusted key loads;
valid sig from untrusted key rejected; unsigned rejected by default and loads
only under AllowUnsigned; light.* plugin writes light.kitchen but is denied
lock.front_door; no-permission plugin can write nothing. Real deterministic
keypair signs real bytes.

Manifest doc updated: P4/P5 now ENFORCED (was "not yet enforced").

homecore-plugins --features wasmtime: 32 passed (lib 23, integration 9), 0 failed.

ruv 9d52d49c0b fix(homecore-api): close WS auth bypass + reply-theater, harden dev bin (ADR-161 A1/A2/A8)
A1 (CRITICAL): the /api/websocket handshake accepted any non-empty token,
ignoring the LongLivedTokenStore whitelist the REST path enforces — a full
WS auth bypass. Now validates via state.tokens().is_valid() before auth_ok;
wrong tokens get auth_invalid + close.

A2 (HIGH): WS command replies were pushed into an mpsc whose only consumer
logged and discarded them — no result/pong/event reached the client. Split
the socket with futures StreamExt::split; a dedicated writer task drains the
response channel onto the wire.

A8 (HIGH): the homecore-api dev bin bound 0.0.0.0 with unconditional
allow-any auth and no env path. Wired the HOMECORE_TOKENS env path (dev
fallback warn-logged when unset) and defaulted the bind to 127.0.0.1
(HOMECORE_BIND to opt into LAN).

Tests (fail on old source):
- ws_handshake::wrong_token_is_rejected (old → auth_ok)
- ws_handshake::result_reply_is_received / ping_pong_reply_is_received (old → timeout)
- server_bin_auth::provisioned_bin_rejects_wrong_bearer / from_env_path_enforces_whitelist

ruv d79c22e03a fix(homecore-assist): exact in-memory cosine k-NN, drop fragile :memory: HNSW
The semantic recognizer built a ruvector-core VectorDB at ":memory:"; under
full-workspace feature unification the file-storage backend is enabled and
":memory:" is an invalid Windows filename (os error 123), panicking via
.expect(). Replace the external index with an exact in-memory cosine k-NN over
the enrolled exemplars (embeddings are L2-normalised, so cosine = dot product).
For HOMECORE's small intent vocabularies this is faster, fully deterministic,
and removes the storage backend + cross-crate feature coupling entirely.
ruvector-core dropped from the crate (only used here). Workspace 3122 passed/0 failed.
