feat(npm): ruview umbrella package + ESPHome radar source (ADR-376, ADR-373 A3)
- harness/ruview-umbrella -> npm `ruview` 0.8.0: one CLI and one MCP server for the operator harness, Homecore and the vitals kernel. `ruview homecore ...`, `ruview kernel <doctor|info|selftest|parity|synth|analyze|bench>`, `ruview capabilities`; everything else delegates to @ruvnet/ruview. MCP serves ruview_* + homecore_* tools and the ui:// console (stdio + HTTP). - @ruvnet/ruview 0.8.0: bin renamed `ruview-harness` (the umbrella owns `ruview`; a clean tarball install showed the bin collision). New exports (cli, cli-ui, mcp, mcp-http, ui, esphome, kernel); injectable MCP handler; kernel as optional peer + setKernelImporter so the kernel resolves from the umbrella's tree under linked/pnpm installs. - mmwave --source esphome: dependency-free read-only ESPHome native API client (private hosts only; encrypted/password APIs reported). Live Seeed MR60BHA2 kit: presence, distance, device-reported HR/BR (MEASURED). - monitor detects Ameba CSI buffer starvation; radar views in terminal UI and console widget. - homecore 0.1.0 and @ruvnet/ruview-kernel 0.1.0 gain ./cli exports. Gates: harness 166 + 89 security, homecore 27 + 23, kernel 21 + 12, umbrella 4; clean-dir tarball install smoke incl. live radar over HTTP MCP. Local publish is a one-off exception to ADR-265 D2, recorded in ADR-376. Co-Authored-By: claude-flow <ruv@ruv.net> |

feat(ruview): MCP Apps console widget, HTTP transport, terminal UI (ADR-375)
- ui://ruview/console-v1.html: one self-contained widget for MCP Apps hosts
and ChatGPT (ui.resourceUri + openai/outputTemplate). Renders node
streams, device scans and doctor results; Refresh re-runs the tool via
window.openai.callTool or an MCP Apps tools/call. Empty CSP allowlist, no
network, textContent only, parent-frame messages only.
- MCP: protocol negotiation (2025-06-18/2025-03-26/2024-11-05),
structuredContent + compact JSON text (17-33% smaller, MEASURED),
resources/list|read, tool titles, canonical tool name in result _meta.
Transport-neutral handleRpc + shared FIFO dispatcher.
- `mcp start --http`: Streamable HTTP for ChatGPT/remote clients. Bearer or
secret-path token (constant-time), loopback default, Origin allowlist,
256 KiB cap, no batches, write grants never honoured over HTTP.
- CLI: formatted TTY output (tables, rate bars, alerts first, NO_COLOR),
JSON for pipes/--json, capture countdown, `esp32 --watch` with per-node
sparklines, lazy module loading (--help ~20% faster, MEASURED).
- monitor detects Ameba CSI report-buffer starvation ("lack of csi buf"),
the root cause of the Realtek heartbeat-only stall seen live.
- Size budget 320 -> 384 KiB (package ~339 kB).
Verified: 160 tests + 83 security tests; headless-Chrome e2e of the MCP
Apps flow against live boards (refresh round trip 108 -> 105 packets);
HTTP security probes; clean tarball smoke (stdio + HTTP).

fix(nightly-sota): ignore stdin EPIPE from children that never read input
runProcess() ends the child's stdin with no error handler. A child that never reads stdin (git check-ignore) can exit and close the pipe before the write flushes; the unhandled EPIPE then crashes `agent.mjs validate`. This failed harness/ruview (node 22) on PR #2062 and reproduces 12/12 locally under CPU load (0/12 after this change). The command's real outcome is still reported by the 'close' handler; this mirrors the existing handler in harness/ruview/src/process-runner.js. perf(npm): binary kernel transport, faster device e2e, and CI fixes (ADR-368/373 amendments)
CI fixes (both failures on PR #2062 were in this branch): - harness/ruview: remove `2.11.0` literals from training remedies; the ADR-265 D3 version-literal gate rejects them. - ruview-kernel workflow: install wasm32 for the toolchain pinned by v2/rust-toolchain (the action only added it to `stable`); build.mjs now fails fast with the exact `rustup target add` remedy. Kernel optimization (ADR-368 amendment): - New `analyze_flat` / `session_push_flat` ops via `call_f64`: WASM `rvk_call_f64` (alignment-agnostic bytes) and napi `callF64(Float64Array)`. `analyze()`/`session.push()` pack uniform frames automatically; irregular input keeps the JSON path and its per-frame errors. `analyzeFlat()` is the zero-copy entry. Shared `Session::step` makes both paths byte-identical on identical f64 inputs (Rust test), and the binary path avoids serde_json's non-correctly-rounded float parsing. - MEASURED (`ruview-kernel bench --seconds 120`, one Linux x64 host): 2.82x (wasm) and 2.45x (napi) faster than the JSON transport. - Profiled remaining cost (examples/profile_stages.rs): heart-rate ACF in wifi-densepose-vitals dominates; left for a separate, output-reviewed change. Rejected WASM +simd128 and opt-level=s after three measured runs (bench/wasm-variants.mjs). Device e2e (ADR-373 amendment): - test/e2e/devices.e2e.mjs + `npm run test:e2e:devices` + new workflow ruview-device-e2e.yml: pty-emulated MR60BHA2 and RPLIDAR through real pyserial, a UDP ESP32 node, and the real iPhone relay, via the CLI. - mmWave auto-detect keeps probe frames and reads only the remainder; iPhone LiDAR gains max_frames and returns immediately when refused. Suite wall time 19.6 s -> 5.6 s (MEASURED, dev container). Co-Authored-By: claude-flow <ruv@ruv.net> Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_015H55jmprfz4oHWXSFbX5rf |

feat(npm): host device + SSH remote access — ESP32, 60/24 GHz mmWave, LiDAR (ADR-373/374)
@ruvnet/ruview 0.7.0 gives CLI, MCP, and SDK access to RuView sensing hardware on the machine it is attached to, and to other machines over SSH. Devices (ADR-373, src/devices/): - ruview_devices_scan: pyserial port list classified by USB VID:PID (Espressif native USB, CP210x, CH34x, FTDI) into ESP32 / mmWave / RPLIDAR roles with the command that confirms each. - ruview_esp32_capture: receive-only UDP listener parsing ADR-018 CSI frames, vitals, and the other 0xC511000x packets per node: rate, sequence loss, RSSI, subcarriers, frequency, device vitals. - ruview_mmwave_read: MR60BHA2 (60 GHz) and LD2410 (24 GHz) parsers ported byte-for-byte from firmware mmwave_sensor.c; baud/frame auto-detect. - ruview_lidar_read: RPLIDAR SCAN over serial (start/stop, DTR best-effort) and the iPhone LiDAR relay as a WebSocket client (token only via RUVIEW_LIDAR_TOKEN; statistics only, never raw depth). - Dependency-free serial via a fixed pyserial pump (argv-only, bounded, hex output immune to secret redaction). Schema-level port pattern validation added to the policy validator. - All device tools require the new `device-access` MCP grant. Remote hosts (ADR-374, src/remote.js): - ~/.config/ruview/hosts.json (0600), CLI-only `hosts add`; strict name/target validation against ssh option and shell injection. - `ssh -o BatchMode=yes -o StrictHostKeyChecking=yes -- <target>` running a version-pinned `ruview call <tool> --read-only`, every token single-quoted; read-only enforced locally and remotely; no mutations, credentialed reads, or host hopping. MCP needs `remote-host` plus the remote tool's grant. Also: device-access skill, doctor `devices`/`remote` groups, SDK `devices.*`/`hosts.*` with types, generic `ruview call` verb, guidance capability, 320 KiB package budget, CI smoke expects 22 tools. feat(npm): RuView operator surface — SDK, cross-platform flashing, training, doctor (ADR-369..372)
@ruvnet/ruview 0.6.0 turns the harness into a complete npm operator
surface: one policy-checked tool registry behind the CLI, the MCP server,
and a new typed SDK.
- SDK (ADR-369): `@ruvnet/ruview/sdk` createRuView() with doctor,
firmware.{ports,plan,flash,monitor}, training.{plan,run,gate,calibrate},
kernel.{selfTest,load}, guidance/claimCheck/verify/spaces; strict mode
throws RuViewError; TypeScript declarations in src/sdk.d.ts.
- Firmware (ADR-370): cross-platform `python -m esptool` flashing replaces
the Windows-only stub. SHA256SUMS verification (mismatch always fatal),
bundle containment, variant/partition checks, argv-only command, chip_id
preflight that refuses a mismatched chip, boot-log capture;
hardwareValidated only when CSI callbacks appear without a panic.
Read-only ruview_firmware_plan / ruview_firmware_ports.
- Training (ADR-371): ruview_train / ruview_train_plan run pose-smoke,
pose (MM-Fi), or room training from the trusted checkout with in-repo
paths only, logs/checkpoints under v2/target/ruview-train, and libtorch
remedies. ruview_train_gate enforces mean-pose baseline, leakage-free
splits, subject/time disjointness, and evidence tagging.
- Doctor (ADR-372): structured pass/warn/fail/skip checks with remedies
across runtime, integrity, hosts, repo, Rust, Python/esptool, firmware
bundles, serial, sensing server, and the compute kernel; --json/--group;
hardware probe and network checks are CLI/SDK-only.
- Plan tools cannot take `confirm`; acting tools keep grant+confirm over
MCP. Policy files and TOOL_POLICY are drift-tested.
- Unpacked budget 160 KiB → 224 KiB in both npm workflows; CI tarball smoke
now checks the SDK and the training gate.

feat(npm): @ruvnet/ruview-kernel — WASM + napi-rs compute kernel with metaharness e2e (ADR-368)
Adds a portable RuView compute kernel for JavaScript, built from the Rust
source of truth and wired into the @ruvnet/ruview metaharness.
Rust
- v2/crates/ruview-kernel: bounded single-function JSON ABI
(call(op, json) -> envelope) over the ADR-021 wifi-densepose-vitals
pipeline: streaming sessions, batch analyze, deterministic SplitMix64
synthetic CSI (SYNTHETIC), bounded session registry, strict input
validation (deny_unknown_fields, width/finite/magnitude checks, size and
count limits). wasm32-only zero-import C ABI (rvk_alloc/free/call).
- v2/crates/ruview-kernel-napi: napi-rs transport exposing only
abiVersion()/call(); standalone workspace (excluded from v2) so napi never
enters `cargo test --workspace`; panic=unwind + catch_unwind.
npm (harness/ruview-kernel, zero runtime deps)
- loadKernel({backend: wasm|napi|auto}); WASM default (no host authority),
napi never silently falls back, auto reports fallbackReason.
- SHA256SUMS integrity verification; mismatch is always fatal; loader
rejects any WASM module that imports host functions.
- Browser-safe ./wasm entry; CLI doctor/info/selftest/parity/synth/
analyze/bench; build.mjs builds artifacts from source (no shell).
- Unit, security, and e2e tests (CLI round trip, cross-backend parity).
Metaharness
- New read-only tool ruview_kernel_selftest / `ruview kernel`: imports the
fixed optional package, fails closed with kernel_not_installed; policy,
claims, MCP policy, guidance capability, and manifest updated.
CI: .github/workflows/ruview-kernel-npm.yml builds both transports on
Linux/macOS/Windows, requires napi in tests, runs parity, verifies
artifacts, packs, and runs the cross-package e2e. No publish step.

feat(forecast): add independent Rust multivariate training stack (#1766)
* feat(forecast): add independent Rust training stack Signed-off-by: Codex <codex@openai.com> * docs(forecast): record informal HPO exploration note (unaccepted) Records an exploratory Darwin Mode numeric-genome hyperparameter search against the tiny_ci synthetic accuracy protocol: WQL improved 0.257 -> 0.161 -> 0.153 over two search rounds, staying ahead of both baselines throughout. Explicitly scoped as informal/exploratory (not a frozen leakage-free report, not eligible for the evidence ledger, not validated for large_linux or any real dataset) per this doc's own evidence-tagging discipline. * feat(forecast-core): add per-horizon weighted quantile loss weighted_quantile_loss collapses the whole horizon into one aggregate number, hiding whether error grows with lead time. Add a sibling function using the identical per-cell pinball formula and domain checks, just reduced per horizon step instead of globally. A unit test reconstructs the aggregate from the per-step numerators/ denominators to prove the two functions agree exactly, not just approximately. * feat(forecast-model): add evaluation-only local activation Adds activate_for_evaluation and build_eval_input, gated behind the cpu feature. activate_for_evaluation self-signs an unsigned candidate with a fixed, publicly-known, non-secret Ed25519 key so a CLI operator can run inference against their own just-trained candidate without a real release signature -- explicitly never a production trust path, documented as such in the module doc comment. The schema-digest check in ArtifactActivationPolicy still applies in full; only signing is relaxed. build_eval_input constructs a single-window ModelInput for CPU inference from raw context-major values/mask arrays, matching the training batch builders exact time-feature/descriptor encoding. Six unit tests cover: malformed-candidate rejection, digest-mismatch rejection (proving the schema check has teeth even on this relaxed path), getting past the policy gate with a matching digest, and eval-input shape validation. * feat(forecast-train): add evaluate and prepare-synthetic-dataset CLI Turns this sessions throwaway HPO scripts into real, tested CLI surfaces, replacing two example binaries that bypassed the CLI/TOML training path entirely. prepare-synthetic-dataset generates a larger, configurable synthetic training shard (default 24 windows) plus a matching train-local.toml with the given OptimizerSpec hyperparameters baked in, and a separate held-out test.jsonl -- the same synthetic-only, local-validation-only posture as prepare-local-example, just bigger and configurable. evaluate scores a trained (unsigned) candidate against held-out windows and the LastValue/SeasonalNaive baselines: overall weighted quantile loss, a per-horizon breakdown, 80% interval coverage, and missingness, for the model and both baselines. Explicitly lists what docs/benchmarks/ruforecast.mds full accuracy protocol additionally asks for that this does not cover (abstention coverage, selective risk, site/device slices, interference regime, RuVector-retrieval ablation) rather than silently omitting them -- each needs infrastructure a single-entity synthetic fixture does not have. Together the three real commands (prepare-synthetic-dataset, train-local, evaluate) reproduce the exact WQL numbers the old library-bypassing example scripts produced for the same hyperparameters, confirmed by re-running the harness/ruview HPO dry-run end to end against the new CLI path. New integration test trains a real candidate via smoke, evaluates it against held-out synthetic windows, and asserts the full report shape and an empty-input rejection. * feat(forecast-train): add prepare-synthetic-dataset --seed + Autogenous bridge --seed (default 0, backward compatible) makes prepare-synthetic-dataset's generator deterministic per offset: same seed -> byte-identical corpus across runs (needed to train two genomes on the SAME corpus for a fair comparison); different seeds -> genuinely independent corpora (needed for honest multi-seed/multi-judge evaluation upstream, both in harness/ruview/flywheel/ruforecast/gate.mjs's fitness function and in the new v2/crates/ruforecast-autogenous-bridge crate added here). ruforecast-autogenous-bridge is a LOCAL-DEV-ONLY (excluded from the v2 workspace, publish = false) bridge from this crate's real evaluate CLI into ruvnet/autogenous's new regression-candidate promotion path (separate, unpushed branch feat/regression-candidate-kind): runs N independent train+evaluate judges on genuinely distinct synthetic corpora, signs receipts, and gets a real cryptographically-verified PROMOTE/REJECT decision -- defense in depth on top of, not a replacement for, Darwin's own promotion gate. Path-depends on a sibling autogenous checkout that does not exist in CI; build/run directly via `cargo build --manifest-path crates/ruforecast-autogenous-bridge/Cargo.toml`. cargo test -p ruview-forecast-train --no-default-features --features cpu, cli: all green (unaffected existing tests + this backward-compatible addition). * docs(forecast): retract round-2 HPO result, record honest multi-seed finding The earlier "Informal HPO exploration note" claimed a real improvement (WQL 0.257 -> 0.153) from a 3-round hyperparameter search. That search evaluated every candidate against one fixed synthetic corpus (seed 0) for every round -- textbook overfitting. Independent verification against two fresh corpora (via the new ruforecast-autogenous-bridge crate) showed the "winner" losing to the baseline on both. Fixed the root cause in harness/ruview/flywheel/ruforecast/gate.mjs: candidates are now scored against three independent corpora, worst-case across them, not one fixed corpus. Re-ran the search under the fix. It found a new winner that genuinely beat baseline on all three of its own search seeds -- and that winner ALSO lost independent verification on fresh seeds. Two independent search rounds, pre- and post-fix, both produced an illusory "winner." The honest reading: at this dataset scale (24 synthetic windows) held-out WQL varies enormously by which corpus is drawn, regardless of hyperparameters -- confirmed directly by the baseline genome's own primary swinging from 0.83 to a full regression across the three fixed search seeds with unchanged hyperparameters. No RuForecast hyperparameter configuration has been shown to reliably beat the trivial baselines out-of-sample at this scale. Also fixes a real design inconsistency surfaced by this exploration: the Autogenous regression-candidate promotion verifier (envelope::regression::verify_regression_promotion, separate unpushed ruvnet/autogenous branch feat/regression-candidate-kind) required all judges to share one corpus_id, which conflicts with this kind's intentional cross-corpus judge design. Corrected there (commit bfa4c48); did not change either REJECT verdict, which were already driven by the real NotBetterThanParent signal on their own. Append-only: the original round-2 row is kept, read together with this new amendment section, per this doc's own evidence-ledger discipline. * refactor(forecast): extract RuForecast to ruvnet/RuForecast submodule Mirrors the v2/crates/worldgraph pattern: RuForecast becomes its own independent public repo/workspace (ruforecast-core/model/train), mounted at v2/crates/ruforecast as a git submodule, with v2/Cargo.toml path-depping into its sub-crates and excluding the submodule from the v2 workspace. Full v2 --workspace check passes; the ruforecast CLI builds and runs correctly from its new location. Real git history for the extracted crates (7 commits) was preserved via git-filter-repo, not squashed. * feat(autogenous-bridge): real-data independent verification tool real_data_verify.rs: signs two real, temporally-independent judge measurements (different train/test split boundaries on the same real household vitals corpus, not synthetic seeds) through the real Autogenous regression-candidate promotion path, and gets a genuine cryptographically-checked PROMOTE/REJECT verdict. Result recorded (see docs/benchmarks/ruforecast.md): REJECT. One judge nominally beat the trivial baseline but by less than the 0.01 non-inferiority margin; the other judge lost outright. Consistent with every synthetic-data search this session -- no configuration has yet been shown to reliably beat trivial baselines out-of-sample, now including a real 6390-sample household corpus. Bumps the ruforecast submodule to pick up the evaluate real-gap fix. * docs(forecast): record real-household-data result (REJECT, signed) 6390 real vital-signs samples, two independent temporal splits, independently verified via the real Autogenous regression-candidate promotion path. Signed verdict: REJECT -- neither split cleared the non-inferiority margin. Same conclusion as every synthetic search this session, now confirmed with real data too: more real data is the credible next lever, not further search on this scale of fixture. * chore(forecast): point ruforecast submodule at published main (post gap-tolerance fix) * ci(forecast): fix ruforecast-ci.yml for the new v2/crates/ruforecast submodule layout The RuForecast crates were extracted into a standalone submodule (v2/crates/ruforecast, mirroring the existing v2/crates/worldgraph pattern) and are no longer members of the v2 workspace. The CI workflow still referenced the old in-tree package names/paths (ruview-forecast-core/model/train under v2/), which broke every forecast job with "cannot specify features for packages outside of workspace". Fixed every job to target the submodule: working-directory -> v2/crates/ruforecast, -p ruview-forecast-* -> -p ruforecast-*, all hardcoded Cargo.toml/source paths in the Python assertion and clean-room-scan blocks, the Swatinem/rust-cache workspaces input, the artifact-tree output paths, and the two levels of relative path (../ -> ../../) in the informational-benchmark steps whose working directory moved one level deeper. Also collapsed the paths: trigger filters internal-crate globs (v2/crates/ruview-forecast-*/**) down to the single v2/crates/ruforecast path, since GitHub Actions path filters only ever see a submodule gitlink change as one entry in the parent tree, never its internal file paths -- the old globs could never have matched anything. Includes a real cargo fmt fix (submodule commit d9902f9) for formatting drift left over from the earlier real-data gap-tolerance fix, which the contract job's fmt --check step would otherwise have failed on. All four forecast CI jobs' real commands verified locally before push: cargo test/check for CPU, CUDA/WGPU compile-check, the contract job's Python assertion block, the hosted-boundaries clean-room scan, and cargo fmt --check. * docs(forecast): record real BIDMC cross-entity holdout result (REJECT) Two independent real-patient partitions (34/16 and 24/26 splits, 53 total ICU patients from PhysioNet BIDMC, Open Data Commons Attribution License v1.0) both show the model losing to trivial baselines by a decisive margin (+69% and +601% worse WQL). First genuine cross-entity real-data test this project has run; same conclusion as every prior synthetic and single-household test. Full Autogenous signed verification was not run for this entry - flagged explicitly in the note. * chore(forecast): point ruforecast submodule at published main (example feature-gate fix) * chore(forecast): point ruforecast submodule at published main (clippy fix) --------- Signed-off-by: Codex <codex@openai.com> |

fix: issue triage batch (#1521-1557) + wire the certificate spine together
Reviews and fixes RuView's 10 most recent substantive issues, plus closes the wiring gap flagged in the perception-substrate review (docs/adr, gist, release notes from the PR #1579 review). ## Fixed - #1526: UI falsely claimed "LIVE — ESP32 Hardware Connected" whenever the unauthenticated /api/v1/status probe 401'd. Now sends the bearer token on the probe (the fallback direction was already fixed by ADR-295). - #1554: top-level `classification` (GET /api/v1/sensing/latest) was the last UDP packet's single node, not the fused room aggregate, so it flapped at packet rate with 2+ disagreeing nodes. Now derived from `RoomInference` (ADR-297's `fuse_room`) at both call sites. - #1541: per-node MQTT `presence`/`presence_score` read a `classification` JSON key that does not exist on `NodeInfo` (the real field is `node_inference`), silently falling back to the room aggregate for every node — reproducing the exact "lockstep publish" the field report measured. Also fixed the *existing* regression test for this bug, which used the same wrong key in its own fixture and so never caught it. - #1557: pose-fusion's `wsPortMap` only knew port 3000, so a remapped host port fell through to `localhost:8765` (nothing there for a remote viewer). WS port is now derived from `location.port` instead of a 2-entry lookup table (the "never render simulated as live" half was already fixed by ADR-295's `onVerifiedFrame` gate). - #1525: the no-model pose path already clamps keypoint confidence to a 0.1 floor, but the renderer's own threshold is also 0.1 compared with `<=`/`>` — a keypoint at exactly the floor was still invisible. Floor raised to 0.15 to clear the client's gate. - #1556: `--mqtt-ca-file`/`--mqtt-client-cert`/`--mqtt-client-key` were parsed and stored but never applied — TLS always used the system trust store, so a self-signed broker always failed UnknownIssuer. Now builds `rumqttc::TlsConfiguration::Simple` from the real PEM files (no new TLS dependency needed). A file that can't be read logs why and falls back to system trust instead of failing opaquely later. - #1555: the MQTT availability heartbeat asserted "online" for every known node on a fixed 30s timer regardless of whether that node's data was still arriving. Now tracks each node's last-seen broadcast snapshot and only reports "online" within a 10s freshness window, otherwise "offline" — a frozen sensor can no longer look available. (The other half — restarting a publisher that goes permanently silent — needs a reproduction the reporter themselves weren't certain of; left for a follow-up rather than guessing at the trigger.) - #1540: already fixed on main (node-keyed RateLimiter, ADR-297). - #1521/#1522: not fixable in this repo (published HF model artifact); replied with the ADR-298 gate status and the exact byte-level fix for the safetensors header, and corrected the README row that claimed the file loads with the reference loader. - #1542, #1527: replied — #1542 is a real, larger firmware+server feature left open for follow-up; #1527's suggested fixes were already applied, the one residual sample is an inherent first-frame paint gap. ## Certificate spine wiring (closes the gap flagged in the PR #1579 review) `ruview-certify` and `ruview-policy` now depend on `ruview-ood` and provide real `From<ruview_ood::DomainState>` adapters plus a composed entry point, `ruview_policy::authorize_from_certificate`, matching the adapter contract `ruview-policy`'s own doc comment already described but that no code actually implemented. A new cross-crate integration test (`acceptance_test_b_real_integration`) mints a real signed `CapabilityCertificate` and proves a real post-drift `ruview_ood::Unknown` denies a `SafetyCritical` action through the composed pipeline — not two disconnected unit tests hand-setting the same enum value. Also: - Wires `evaluate_linear_head` (ADR-298 model-release gate) into a new CI job so the checker itself can't silently regress; documents that gating an actual model publish is still a manual step (no HF automation here). - Wires `SourceState::export_watermark()` into `start_recording`: a recording captured while the source is synthetic is now stamped in its metadata (not the filename or per-line JSON, to avoid breaking `delete_recording`'s path reconstruction or the training dataset loader's schema). - Updates docs/user-guide.md's "Developer Preview" section to describe what's now genuinely wired vs. still not (no live continuous calibration/OOD loop in the running server yet). ## Validation - cargo test --workspace --no-default-features: 4391 passed, 0 failed - cargo build --release -p wifi-densepose-sensing-server --features mqtt: clean - Server smoke-tested end-to-end against the simulator (real startup, UDP/WS/HTTP listeners, /api/v1/sensing/latest stable across calls) - Real ESP32-S3 hardware was NOT reachable this session (no COM port present, zero UDP frames received after 40s bound to 0.0.0.0:5005) — the multi-node fixes are validated by the new unit/integration tests and full-workspace regression, not by live hardware. feat: implement ADR-292/293/294/295/296 — provenance, UDP hardening, multi-node, model gates, CSI policy
ADR-292 (sensing-server): SourceState enum + pure transition (provenance.rs); auth-error/unknown can never resolve to LiveVerified; synthetic exports watermarked. Pose-fusion simulator starts SYNTHETIC and only shows LIVE on a real decoded frame (#1557); sensing client no longer labels an unauthorized status endpoint as live (#1526). ADR-294 (sensing-server): NodeInference distinct from RoomInference (inference.rs); deterministic freshness-weighted fuse_room; RateLimiter re-keyed to (NodeId,EntityKind) so nodes do not starve each other (#1541); stale nodes go unavailable not frozen-online (#1555). ADR-293 (sensing-server): --udp-bind (default 127.0.0.1) + --udp-allow allowlist + fail-closed refusal of routable bind without allowlist unless --udp-insecure-lan (udp_bind.rs); crate SECURITY.md documents the threat model and the deferred per-device-auth step two. ADR-295 (train): model_gates.rs — constant-output, unreachable-boundary (the issue-1521 degenerate presence head), class-balance, baseline, and metric-name-provenance gates. ADR-296 (ci): scripts/csi-data-policy-check.sh (+ allowlist) and a workflow that fails on tracked CSI-format/oversized-JSONL files; 6/6 self-tests pass. Per-crate suites reported green by the swarm; CSI policy self-test 6/6 and JS syntax verified here. Full workspace re-verification deferred until the concurrent phase-1 spine build frees the target dir (disk pressure). fix(ui): pose stream WebSocket 401s when RUVIEW_API_TOKEN is set (#1461) (#1462)
websocket.service.js (used by the pose/event streams) opened a bare `new WebSocket(url)` with no ADR-272 ticket exchange, unlike sensing.service.js which already mints a ticket per connect. Since a browser cannot set an Authorization header on a WebSocket upgrade, and the server rejects a long-lived bearer passed as a query string (CWE-598), the pose stream 401'd whenever auth was on — visible in the Live Demo tab as "Failed to create WebSocket connection". Fix: createWebSocketWithTimeout() now strips any `token` query param a caller put on the URL (pose.service.js does this) and exchanges the stored bearer for a single-use `?ticket=` via withWsTicket(), done at this one choke point so every consumer (pose, events, training) and every reconnect attempt gets a fresh ticket. Second, smaller bug: pose-fusion/js/main.js auto-connected to a hardcoded `ws://localhost:8765/ws/sensing`, but the Docker image serves the sensing WebSocket on :3001 (the same 3000->3001 mapping sensing.service.js already encodes) — the auto-connect dialed a port nothing listens on. Reuses that port mapping and tickets both the auto-connect and the manual "Connect" button. Bumped the pose-fusion.html cache-buster (v=13 -> v=14) so browsers actually fetch the updated main.js. Adds ui/services/websocket.service.test.mjs (4 executed Node tests, stubbed WebSocket/fetch/localStorage) covering: no-auth passthrough, ticket exchange + bearer-never-in-URL, stray ?token= stripping, and the pre-ADR-272 404 fallback. Wired into the CI "Run UI unit tests" step. Reported with a verified fix in #1461 by wsc7r4zcj4-collab; this PR implements the same fix against current main with an added regression test. revert(python): keep the small base wheel — P6 stays source-build-only for now

3ed43e9a2f |
fix(python): ship SOTA bindings in release wheels; make parity tests arch-portable
Three coupled defects, all found by building the wheel and running the real
suite on Apple Silicon rather than trusting green CI.
1. THE P6 SOTA BINDINGS NEVER REACHED USERS (release blocker).
`pip-release.yml`'s cibuildwheel built the DEFAULT feature set, so published
wheels contained none of aether/mat/meridian. `pip install
wifi-densepose[aether]` then raised ImportError — and the extra is empty, so
its own error message ("install the [aether] extra") sent users in a circle.
A pip extra cannot enable a Rust cargo feature on an already-built wheel, so
the only way P6 reaches PyPI is to compile it in.
Fix: the RELEASE build opts in via `MATURIN_PEP517_ARGS="--features sota"`
(per-platform, since CIBW_ENVIRONMENT_LINUX overrides CIBW_ENVIRONMENT).
`default = []` in Cargo.toml, the RuView#1387-default-wheel-budget-config
fix-marker, and the wheel-size-budget job are all left UNTOUCHED — they keep
guarding the small base compile. Measured published wheel: 1.68 MiB, well
under the ADR-117 §5.4 5 MiB budget. Proven: built via the exact PEP517 path,
`import wifi_densepose.aether/mat/meridian` all succeed.
2. THE WHEEL SMOKE TEST COULD NOT SEE #1.
CIBW_TEST_COMMAND only asserted `hello()` and PRINTED `__build_features__`.
The one signal that would reveal missing bindings was dumped to stdout and
ignored, so a featureless wheel published green. It now ASSERTS the p6
features are present and imports the three modules. Proven red→green: fails
on the old featureless wheel ("missing SOTA bindings: [...]"), passes on the
fixed one.
3. THE AETHER PARITY TESTS WERE NOT PORTABLE ACROSS THE WHEEL MATRIX.
`test_aether.py` and the native `aether_parity.rs`/`aether_weights_parity.rs`
hashed the raw f32 embedding bytes (SHA-256) against a committed golden. The
embedding is pure f32 with transcendental ops (ln/sqrt/cos) that are not
bit-reproducible across CPUs/libm, so the hash only ever matched the one arch
that generated it. This passed in python-ci (x86) but fails on the aarch64 /
macOS-arm wheels this same project ships — latent until #1 is fixed and the
bindings actually load. Every tolerance/behavioral assertion already passed;
only the two byte-hash tests failed, which is the signature of a non-portable
golden, not a logic bug.
Fix: compare to a committed golden VECTOR within tolerance
(atol=rtol=1e-4 — ~100x cross-arch f32 drift, ~100x under any real algorithm
change), on both the Python and native sides against the SAME golden. Native
≈ golden and binding ≈ golden together prove binding ≈ native, portably.
`.sha256` goldens replaced by `.json` vectors.
Also: the aether/mat/meridian import shims told users to `pip install
wifi-densepose[<x>]` on a missing feature — an empty extra that cannot help.
Corrected to name the real fix (rebuild with `--features <x>`); message tests
updated to assert the honest message and forbid the misleading one.
Verified on aarch64/macOS: full `python/tests/` suite 227 passed against a wheel
built with the new mechanism; `cargo check --tests --features aether` clean.
The native `.rs` parity tests were converted by inspection and cargo-checked but
not executed — they link against the PyO3 crate and no workflow runs them today
(a pre-existing gap; wiring `cd python && cargo test --features sota` into
python-ci would make the native anchor actually run).

fix(auth): close /api/field bypass, two fail-opens, and a self-disarming test
Findings from a qe-court adversarial round (4 prosecutors across 2 vendors).
Each was verified against the code before being accepted; the ones below
reproduced, the rest are reported in the PR thread rather than acted on.
FATAL — `/api/field` was reachable with no credential, on both listeners.
The gate protected `/api/v1/*` by prefix. `/api/field` is the REST sibling of
`/ws/field` and serves the same signed FieldEvent stream — live presence, pose,
vitals. `/ws/field` was gated in this PR; its twin one path segment over was
not. Measured with RUVIEW_API_TOKEN set and no credential supplied:
/api/v1/models 401 (control)
/ws/field 401 (gated by this PR)
/api/field 200 on :8080 AND :8765
Fixed by inverting the gate to deny-by-default with an explicit anonymous
allowlist (`/`, `/ui`, `/health`, `/oauth/`). A route added at a new path is
now gated because nobody exposed it, rather than exposed because nobody
protected it — the same inversion already applied to the scope gate.
FATAL — the wiring test disarmed itself exactly when it mattered.
`Server::start` returned an Option that all five tests turned into `return`,
so a server that failed to boot produced "5 passed" with zero assertions run,
and cargo swallows the skip line without --nocapture. The one test that
observes real wiring — the guard against both shipped bypasses — was silent
for any change that breaks startup, including a boot panic in the auth path.
It now panics with the child's stderr.
MAJOR — a malformed client-id list silently disabled the audience check.
An empty allowlist is the opt-out sentinel in verify.rs. `RUVIEW_OAUTH_CLIENT_IDS=","`
is non-empty, passes the guard, then filters to an empty Vec — turning the
audience boundary off with no log and admitting a token minted for any other
Cognitum product. Only a literal `*` may opt out now; anything else that parses
to nothing warns and falls back to the default. Same fail-open shape as the
scope denylist this PR already had to invert.
MAJOR — credentials were world-readable for a window on every refresh.
`fs::write` creates at 0666 & !umask (0644 by default), and both writers
chmodded afterwards. The existing permissions test asserted on the FINAL file
and passed throughout. Affected the CLI refresh token (rotated with reuse
detection — a thief who presents it first takes the session family) and the
browser session secret (the HMAC key for every session; stealing it forges any
account at any scope). Both now create with mode 0600 via OpenOptions.
MAJOR — ui/sw.js cached authenticated API responses.
Closing the /oauth/ leg left the /api/ leg open. `networkFirst` cached every
successful response, keyed by URL alone, purged by nothing at sign-out: sign in
as A, load sensing data, sign out, sign in as B, lose the network, and B is
served A's data with no authorization check. API responses are now network-only
— which is also the correct behaviour for a live sensing dashboard, where
replaying a stale reading can show a room occupied after the person left — plus
a cache purge on sign-out.
CI — 40 of ruview-auth's 87 tests never ran.
The workspace runs --no-default-features, which switches off the `login` and
`pkce` features. Measured: 47 tests vs 87. The whole interactive sign-in path —
credential storage, single-flight refresh, the file lock, the loopback callback
— was green locally and never executed in CI. Added an --all-features step.
(Checked the sensing-server for the same problem and did NOT find it:
bearer_auth's 49 and browser_session's 15 do run under CI flags.)
Tests: +2 wiring tests (one fails against the old gate with
"http port served /api/field to an anonymous caller", passes after), +3 UI
service-worker tests, +3 CLI scope tests, +1 temp-file permission test, +1
client-id parsing test. wifi-densepose-cli/src/auth.rs had zero tests and
builds its own scope string, so the library's least-privilege test said nothing
about what the CLI requests.
Verified: ruview-auth 61+25+2 pass (--all-features), sensing-server bearer_auth
50, browser_session 15, auth_wiring 7, workspace 25 suites clean, UI 22.

fix(ui): service worker cached /oauth/status, freezing browser sign-in
Browser sign-in worked, but the settings panel kept offering "Sign in with
Cognitum" afterwards; only a hard reload showed the true state. The server was
correct throughout.
Root cause: `ui/sw.js` routed cache-first as its CATCH-ALL for every path
outside `/api/` and `/health/`. `/oauth/status` therefore had its first
(signed-out) response stored in the Cache API and replayed to the page forever.
The Cache API is not the HTTP cache and ignores `Cache-Control` entirely, so the
`no-store, no-cache, must-revalidate` the server already sends could not prevent
it. A hard reload bypasses the service worker, which is why that alone appeared
to fix it, and why signing out re-poisoned the entry.
Fixes, in order of blast radius:
- `/oauth/` is never handled by the worker. Not network-first — that still
writes a copy, which would be replayed the moment the server is briefly
unreachable, silently reinstating a stale sign-in state.
- Cache-first is now an ALLOWLIST (navigations and static asset extensions)
rather than the catch-all. This is the underlying defect: any endpoint added
outside `/api/` was frozen on its first response. Unrecognised paths now go
to the network untouched.
- `CACHE_NAME` bumped to `ruview-v2`, so `activate` evicts the poisoned
`ruview-v1` from browsers that already ran the old worker. Verified: the
cache list went from `[ruview-v1]` to `[ruview-v2]` on update.
- Shell lookups use `ignoreSearch` and store a search-less key, so the
`?signed_in=<ms>` the callback redirects to does not mint a fresh, never-hit
cache entry per sign-in.
Also: re-check sign-in state on `pageshow` (bfcache restore, where no script
re-runs) and on `visibilitychange` (signed in or out in another tab). Opening
the panel alone is not sufficient — it may already be open.
Verification, in a real browser driven end-to-end:
- Reproduced with a valid session cookie: server returned `signed_in: true` to
curl while the page's own fetch got a cached `signed_in: false`, and the
request never appeared in the server log at all.
- Confirmed the cached entry existed: `caches.open('ruview-v1').match(
'/oauth/status')` returned the signed-out body.
- After the fix, on a NORMAL (not hard) reload the panel reads
"Signed in as <account> - sensing:read" with Sign out shown.
Tests: `ui/sw.test.mjs` loads the real `sw.js` with stubbed worker globals and
asserts the routing decision per path. 4 of its 10 tests fail against the
pre-fix worker and pass after; the other 6 pin pre-existing guards (non-GET,
websocket upgrade, cross-origin, API paths, static assets, navigation) and pass
in both, so they track behaviour rather than the rewrite.
CI: adds a `ui-tests` job. Nothing ran the UI JavaScript before, so both this
suite and the ADR-272 ws-ticket suite would have rotted unexecuted — which is
the same blind spot that let this defect ship.
Removes the temporary `/oauth/status` cookie logging and the panel console
diagnostic added while tracking this down.

ci(python): gate python/ package in main CI + add fix-marker guards for filename-collision and wheel-budget regressions
The python/ PyO3+maturin wheel (wifi-densepose, ADR-117/185) had ZERO
per-PR CI coverage: pip-release.yml only fires on release triggers, so a
PR could break the wheel build, a native-Rust parity test, or the wheel
budget and nothing in the gating CI would catch it until release day.
New .github/workflows/python-ci.yml (path-scoped to python/** + the
backing crates, following the repo convention cf. firmware-ci.yml --
GitHub has no per-job paths filter and no workflow here uses a
change-detection action, so a dedicated path-scoped workflow is the
idiomatic, no-new-dependency choice):
* parity-tests: cargo build of the aether/mat/train backing crates
(fast-fail attribution), then `maturin develop --features sota` +
`pytest python/tests/ -q`. sota builds the aether/meridian/mat
compiled submodules so their SHA-256 parity tests against native
Rust actually run (those test modules import the submodules at
collection time -- without the features they error, not skip).
* wheel-size-budget: builds the DEFAULT (no-features) wheel and fails
if it exceeds the ADR-117 5.4 5 MiB budget -- the real numeric
enforcement a string fix-marker cannot provide.
Two fix-marker guards (scripts/fix-markers.json):
* RuView#1387-rvf-filename-collision: training_api.rs next_model_id()
must keep the microsecond timestamp (%6f) + AtomicU64 counter; the
forbid uses a negative lookahead so it fires only on a bare
second-resolution format lacking the disambiguator. Guards the
CI-caught collision fixed on this branch in

port-aware localhost origin gate; dual-transport description now true
- tools renamed underscore-canonical with dotted router-only aliases
- single Zod validation gate; advertised inputSchema generated from the same
Zod source (zod-to-json-schema)
- train_count: parent log fds closed (was leaking 2/job); job records
persisted to <jobsDir>/<id>.json (job_status survives restarts); bounded
log-tail reads
- detectCogBinary probes its candidates instead of dead-coding them
- version from package.json; @types/express dropped; @types/jest -> 29
- README rewritten to match reality (no phantom subcommands/policy layer)
- 99/99 jest tests (incl. new session/body-cap suite + previously-broken
manifest suite); stdio handshake + HTTP session flow smoke-tested live
ADR-265 D1-D4:

- toolInputJsonSchema memoized per tool: schemas are static for the process
lifetime; under the session-per-server HTTP model every session calls
tools/list, so stop re-walking the Zod tree each time
No behavior change: 99/99 jest tests; HTTP session flow re-smoke-tested
through the lazy import path (initialize -> 200 + mcp-session-id).
Profiled @ruvnet/ruview too and left it alone: 50ms CLI startup vs ~29ms
bare 'node -e ""' floor on the same box (MEASURED) — already near the
interpreter floor with zero dependencies.

* fix(npm): address 10 verified review findings in harness + rvagent before 0.2.0 publish
harness/ruview (@ruvnet/ruview):
- guardrails: digit gate now sees numbers inside code spans; F1-style
metric tokens followed by ':' or a nearby number are no longer scrubbed
(fail-open regressions in the honesty gate)
- mcp-server: tools/call requests serialize through a FIFO promise chain
(hardware/mutating tools never overlap) while ping/tools/list stay
immediate; stdin close drains in-flight responses before exit
- tools: which() no longer memoizes negative lookups
tools/ruview-mcp (@ruvnet/rvagent):
- index: realpath invoked-directly guard — library import no longer
connects a stdio transport to the consumer's process
- http-transport: explicit allowedOrigins is exact-match only (localhost
any-port convenience applies only with no configured allowlist);
session map gains maxSessions=64 + 5min idle TTL sweep
- train-count: job records persist the child pid and reconcile stale
'running' status after a server restart (exit-code marker or dead pid)
- config: cog binary candidates ordered by process.arch
.github/workflows/ruview-npm-release.yml: port the full ADR-265 D1 gate
(version-literal check, unpacked-size budget, tarball-install smoke test)
from npm-packages.yml so the publish path enforces what the header claims.
Tests: harness 30→36, rvagent 99→112, all passing.

ci(ruview-swarm): drop removed itar-unrestricted feature from test matrix
The industrial rescope (ruv-drone) removed the itar-unrestricted feature flag — formation/allocation/raft/flight-control are now default capabilities. Update the 'ruflo+itar' matrix entry to just '--features ruflo' so CI matches the new feature set. Co-Authored-By: claude-flow <ruv@ruv.net> |

ci(bench): compile-verify regression gate for v2 criterion benches + ADR-174 (#1094)
* ci(bench): wire v2 criterion benches into CI as a compile-verify regression gate
Sub-deliverable 8.3 of the benchmark/optimization milestone (needs ADR slot 174).
The v2/ workspace ships 26 criterion benches across 18 crates, but benches are
not part of `cargo test`, so nothing in CI compiled them and they silently rot
when a public API they call changes.
Add `.github/workflows/bench-regression.yml`:
- bench-compile (HARD GATE): `cargo bench --workspace --no-default-features
--no-run` compiles + links every default-feature bench (no measurement) plus
the cir-gated cir_bench — a real, deterministic regression guard against
bench bit-rot.
- bench-fast-run (INFORMATIONAL, continue-on-error, never gates): runs a
curated pure-CPU subset (nvsim, ruvector sketch/fusion) in criterion
quick-mode and uploads logs as an artifact.
No timing-regression gate, by design: wall-clock on shared GitHub runners varies
2-3x run-to-run, so a hard threshold or cross-runner `criterion --baseline`
compare would manufacture false failures. The honest scope is compile-verify +
informational-run; the workflow header documents the self-hosted-runner
condition under which true timing-gating becomes honest. The crv-gated crv_bench
is excluded because its crates.io dep ruvector-crv 0.1.1 fails to build upstream.
Running the gate immediately caught one already-bit-rotted bench:
wifi-densepose-mat/detection_bench failed to compile (E0063: missing field
last_rssi in SensorPosition). Fixed (last_rssi: None) and re-verified.
Validation (MEASURED): mat detection_bench + cir_bench + nvsim + ruvector +
vitals + swarm benches compile under --no-default-features; fast subset runs;
`cargo test -p wifi-densepose-mat --no-default-features` 174 passed / 0 failed;
Python proof PASS, hash f8e76f21...46f7a unchanged.

feat(ADR-262 P3): live /api/field + /ws/field — RuView sensing speaks RuField (fail-closed egress) (#1071)
* feat(ADR-262 P3): live RuField surface — RuView sensing speaks RuField on /api/field + /ws/field Wire the P1 `wifi-densepose-rufield` bridge into the live `wifi-densepose-sensing-server` so the governed sensing cycle emits real signed RuField `FieldEvent`s on two additive endpoints. - Cargo: add the `wifi-densepose-rufield` path dep (the single coupling point, ADR-262 §5.4 — no new RuView-internal coupling). - New `src/rufield_surface.rs` (kept out of the 8k-line main.rs): `FieldSurface` holds a dedicated ed25519 `Signer` + a bounded ring of recent events + the `/ws/field` broadcast topic; `GET /api/field` and `GET /ws/field` handlers; a standalone `router()` for isolated testing. - Signer (defers the P2 key decision, ADR-262 §8 Q1): a STANDALONE dev/sensing key from `WDP_RUFIELD_SIGNING_SEED`, else a deterministic dev default with a logged WARN. Reusing the `cog-ha-matter` Ed25519 key is the deferred P2 call — P3 does not pre-empt it. - Tap: at the ESP32 governed-trust cycle (`main.rs` ~5886 observe_cycle / ~5938 SensingUpdate build), `emit_rufield_event` joins the cycle's features/classification/signal_field with the engine's effective_class/demoted trust state into a `SensingSnapshot` and surfaces it via the bridge. Existing endpoints (`/ws/sensing` etc.) are unchanged — purely additive. - Privacy egress: `network_egress_allowed` is fail-closed for an unattended live surface — only P1/P2 leave the box; P0 raw and P3/P4/P5 (identity/biometric/aggregate) are held edge-local. A `Derived` cycle maps to P4/P5 and never surfaces. - No-phantom: `emit` drops no-presence cycles (no fabricated events). Gates (tests/rufield_surface_test.rs, tower::oneshot, 4/0): well-formed signed event (WifiCsi, P2 not P1, is_fusable, real timestamp); empty cycle → no phantom; Derived trust never surfaces; mixed stream surfaces only egress-safe events. Honesty (ADR-262 §0/§6): real plumbing on a live endpoint, NOT accuracy. Single-link CSI with its existing caveats (no validated room-coordinate accuracy); dedicated dev signing key pending the P2 ownership decision; no accuracy claim. Co-Authored-By: claude-flow <ruv@ruv.net> * docs(ADR-262 P3): mark P1+P3 implemented; document /api/field + /ws/field; CHANGELOG - ADR-262 Status → "P1 + P3 implemented"; add a P3 implementation-status block (tap site, endpoints, dedicated dev signer deferring the §8 Q1 key decision, fail-closed egress, gates). Keep the honesty framing: real plumbing on a live endpoint, not accuracy. - CHANGELOG [Unreleased]: add the ADR-262 P3 entry. - user-guide: add `/api/field` to the REST table + a "RuField surface (ADR-262 P3)" section covering `/api/field` + `/ws/field`, the fail-closed P1/P2-only egress, the WDP_RUFIELD_SIGNING_SEED dev key, and the no-accuracy honesty note. Co-Authored-By: claude-flow <ruv@ruv.net> * ci: checkout submodules everywhere + Dockerfile copies vendor/rufield Making wifi-densepose-rufield (ADR-262 bridge) a v2 workspace member means EVERY cargo-on-workspace context must have the vendor/rufield submodule present (cargo loads all member manifests). P1 only fixed the rust-tests job; this adds `submodules: recursive` to all workflow checkouts that run cargo (mqtt-integration was failing on the missing submodule manifest), and makes Dockerfile.rust COPY vendor/rufield/ to /vendor/rufield (matches the bridge's ../../../vendor/rufield path-dep under the collapsed Docker layout). update-submodules.yml left alone (it manages submodules itself). feat(ADR-262 P1): wifi-densepose-rufield bridge — RuView sensing → signed RuField FieldEvents (fail-closed privacy map) (#1070)
* feat(rufield): ADR-262 P1 — wifi-densepose-rufield anti-corruption bridge New v2 workspace member that converts RuView WiFi-CSI sensing output into signed RuField FieldEvents. Path-deps the vendor/rufield submodule crates (rufield-core/-provenance/-privacy/-fusion); single coupling point between RuView and the standalone RuField MFS spec (ADR-262 §5.4). - SensingSnapshot: owned primitives mirroring SensingUpdate + TrustedOutput (no dependency on wifi-densepose-sensing-server). - snapshot_to_field_event(): builds a WifiCsi FieldTensor + Observation, derives a real position from the signal-field peak (never fabricated), real sha256 provenance + ed25519 signature (synthetic=false). - map_privacy() (§3.3 crux): maps by information content, NEVER byte value — Derived (byte 1) → P4/P5, never P1; fail-closed demotion floor to P2. P1 gates (tests/p1_gates.rs): round-trip serde, is_fusable verified receipt, RuFieldFusion::ingest accept + infer runs, privacy-safety (Derived never P1), full §3.3 table, fail-closed demotion, determinism, no-fabricated-position. 15 tests pass (5 unit + 9 integration + 1 doc), 0 failed. Honesty: P1 plumbing (tested conversion + safe privacy mapping), NOT wired into the live server (P3) and NOT an accuracy claim. Co-Authored-By: claude-flow <ruv@ruv.net> * docs(adr-262): mark P1 implemented + CI submodules:recursive + CHANGELOG/CLAUDE - ADR-262 Status → "Proposed — P1 implemented"; add §0.1 Implementation status (the bridge crate + the five P1 gates that pass; defers the provenance-carrier reuse, P3 live wiring, and P4 multi-modality). - ci.yml: add `submodules: recursive` to the rust-tests checkout so the new crate's `vendor/rufield` path-deps resolve in CI (they fail otherwise even though the workspace build passes locally with the submodule present). - CHANGELOG [Unreleased]: P1 bridge entry (kept alongside the upstream ADR-262 research entry). - CLAUDE.md: crate table row for `wifi-densepose-rufield`. ADR-152: WiFi-Pose SOTA 2026 intake — WiFlow-STD benchmark, Rust integrations, ADR-153 802.11bf layer, efficiency frontier (#1008)
* feat(calibration): NodeGeometry transceiver-geometry recording (ADR-152 §2.1.1) PerceptAlign-motivated geometry capture at enrollment: per-node optional records (position, antenna orientation, inter-node distances, acquisition method) — recorded when known, never required. Event-sourced via EnrollmentEvent::GeometryRecorded (latest recording wins); persisted on SpecialistBank with serde defaults so pre-ADR-152 bank JSON loads cleanly (fixture-proven, and geometry-free banks serialize byte-shape-identical to the old schema); threaded through MultiNodeMixture as data only — the learned geometry embeddings and algorithmic fusion use are §2.1.2, deliberately deferred until the ADR-151 P6 LoRA heads exist. Geometry recorded from now on means banks captured today remain usable for layout-conditioned training later — you can't retroactively add geometry to data you didn't record. 8 new tests (3 geometry, 2 anchor, 2 bank, 1 multistatic) + full-loop extension (2-node geometry, one tape-measured + one unknown, surviving the bank JSON round-trip the runtime loads from). 50/50 calibration (both feature configs) + 23 CLI tests green. Co-Authored-By: RuFlo <ruv@ruv.net> * feat(training): two-checkerboard camera↔room calibration for ADR-079 labels (ADR-152 §2.1.3) Defends the camera-supervised pipeline against PerceptAlign's "coordinate overfitting": MediaPipe keypoints were emitted in raw camera coordinates with no shared frame and no transceiver-geometry metadata — the exact label shape that memorizes deployment layout and collapses cross-layout. - scripts/calibrate-camera-room.py + calibration_lib.py: OpenCV two-checkerboard calibration → versioned bundle JSON (intrinsics, camera→room extrinsics, checkerboard spec, transceiver geometry, sha256 calibration_id). Intrinsics resolve from file > cache > multi-view computation > loud-warning 2-view fallback. - collect-ground-truth.py --calibration <bundle>: every sample gains keypoints_room (unit bearing rays from the camera center in the room frame — documented projective alignment; raw image coords preserved so training chooses), camera_origin_room, calibration_id, and the transceiver geometry stamp. Without the flag, output is byte-identical to before (tested) + a one-line ADR-152 warning. Design finding (recorded for ADR-152): a single planar checkerboard's corner grid is centrosymmetric — the reversed corner ordering fits a ghost camera pose with IDENTICAL reprojection error, so per-board flip disambiguation is mathematically ill-posed. solve_two_board_extrinsics solves the joint wall+floor set over all 4 flip combinations, where the minimum is unique — an independent reason the TWO-checkerboard method is required, beyond what PerceptAlign states. 15 headless pytest tests green (synthetic corners: extrinsics recovery incl. ghost resolution, bundle round-trip + hash stability, ray transforms w/ distortion + cross-resolution, no-calibration byte identity). Co-Authored-By: RuFlo <ruv@ruv.net> * feat(benchmarks): WiFlow-STD reproduction harness + measurement (a) results (ADR-152 §2.2) Shipped checkpoint REFUTED (0.08% PCK@20, wrong keypoint normalization); 6 reproducibility defects documented (broken imports, corrupted dataset tail with float32-max garbage that NaN-poisons fp16 BatchNorm, unreachable test phase). After repairs, retraining with upstream defaults reproduces 96.09% PCK@20 full-test / 96.61% corruption-free (published 97.25%) on RTX 5080. Claims graded MEASURED-EQUIVALENT; 2.23M params + ~0.055 GFLOPs verified. Third-party code/weights/data stay out of tree (gitignored). Gated #[ignore] integration test loads it strictly and asserts forward-pass agreement: max abs diff 1.192e-7 on the seed-42 fixture. dump_variable_names test makes the tch name layout authoritative. Zero architecture discrepancies found. Co-Authored-By: claude-flow <ruv@ruv.net> * fix: workflow-review findings — BN gamma init, ThresholdParams serde, init docs Concurrent validation workflow (2 review lanes + adversarial verification, 13 agents): 5 confirmed findings, 3 refuted. Fixes: - wiflow_std: pin BatchNorm gamma to 1.0 (tch default draws Uniform(0,1) — silently halves activations in from-scratch training; loaded checkpoints unaffected, parity re-verified after the change) - wiflow_std: document the conv-init divergences vs the reference's effective kaiming_normal(fan_out) re-init (from-scratch dynamics only) - ieee80211bf: ThresholdParams deserialization validates via try_from so the <=100 invariant holds for untrusted payloads (+ rejection test) Benchmarks (release, ruvzen): GeometryEmbedding 1.84us/call (542k/s), MAE tokenization 7.38us/window (135k/s), 802.11bf FSM 8.9M events/s — nothing suspicious. Co-Authored-By: claude-flow <ruv@ruv.net> * docs(adr): ADR-152 §2.1.4 gate resolved — PerceptAlign repo MIT, dataset on HF Co-Authored-By: claude-flow <ruv@ruv.net> * feat(benchmarks): edge optimization measured + measurement (b) blocked + 92.9% retraction Edge optimization (ADR-152 optimize track): ONNX Runtime fp32 is the CPU latency win (3.2 ms/window, ~3.4x faster than torch, parity 2.4e-7); ORT dynamic int8 reaches 2.44 MB (paper's ~2.2 MB claim plausible only via conv-capable toolchains; -0.16pt PCK@20, +18% MPJPE, 2x slower); torch dynamic quant converts 0% of this conv-only model; fp16 halves storage free but is slower on CPU. Measurement (b) BLOCKED-ON-DATA: only 1,077 paired ESP32 windows exist (stop rule <2k). Forensic recheck of the surviving April holdout RETRACTS the ADR-079 '92.9% PCK@20' figure: constant-output model, absolute (not torso) threshold, 69 near-static frames — mean predictor scores 100% under that protocol; torso-PCK@20 is 19.1%. Corroborates PR #535. Stale citations removed from user-guide, readme-details, ADR-152 §2.1.3; no-citation rule extended to ADR-079 accuracy claims. Unblock: >=2k-window multi-pose paired session + torso-PCK re-baseline. Co-Authored-By: claude-flow <ruv@ruv.net> * docs(user-guide): corrected camera-supervised collection tutorial Step 0 CSI-rate check + session-length math (window yield = frames/20 — the May session's 8x under-delivery was a ~12 Hz CSI rate, not an aligner bug); two-checkerboard calibration step (ADR-152 §2.1.3); pose-variety and confidence guidance; torso-normalized PCK + temporal-split + pred-variance eval protocol (lessons from the 92.9% retraction); scale presets re-keyed to realistic window counts. Co-Authored-By: claude-flow <ruv@ruv.net> * feat(benchmarks): static PTQ int8 (calibrated) results + overnight capture script Conv-only static QDQ beats dynamic int8 on accuracy (PCK@20 96.61-96.63% vs 96.52%, MPJPE +10% vs +18% over fp32) at ~equal size/latency; all-ops QDQ strictly worse (int8 activations through attention glue). Entropy calibration verified bit-identical to MinMax on this data. Deployment: ONNX fp32 for speed (3.2ms), static conv-only QDQ for smallest (2.53MB). Also: scripts/overnight-empty-capture.py — segmented UDP CSI recorder for empty-room baselines (no glob collisions, detach-safe). Co-Authored-By: claude-flow <ruv@ruv.net> * feat(benchmarks): measurement (b) MEASURED — optimization transfer only, mean-pose baseline wins WiFlow-STD fine-tuned on 2,046 fresh single-room ESP32 paired windows (temporal 70/15/15, 70->540 adapter, K=17): pretrained-init 65% PCK@20 vs scratch 0% (optimization transfer) but frozen-trunk ~0% (no feature transfer), and NOTHING beats the mean-pose baseline (95.9% PCK@20 — single subject, near-static normalized coords). Honesty gates held: pred std 0.0113 (non-constant model) but mean-baseline dominance means no citable CSI->pose capability from this data. ADR-152 open question 1 answered partially; definitive answer needs multi-subject/position data. Two new aligner findings: heterogeneous csi_shape with silent zero-padding (~20%), and extractCsiMatrix's transposed shape label (frame-major data, [nSc, nFrames] label) — fixes pending. Co-Authored-By: claude-flow <ruv@ruv.net> * feat(benchmarks): efficiency sweep MEASURED — half model dominates full reference Compact WiFlow-STD variants on the same data/split/protocol: half (843,834 params, 0.38x) strictly dominates the 2.23M reference (PCK@20 96.62 vs 96.61, PCK@50 99.47 vs 99.11, MPJPE 0.00898 vs 0.0094) — the published architecture is over-parameterized for its own benchmark. quarter (338k) 96.05%; tiny (56,290 params, 1/39.5) holds 94.11% — a ~220KB fp32 edge candidate. In-domain caveats recorded; cross-domain untested. Co-Authored-By: claude-flow <ruv@ruv.net> * feat(train): compact WiFlow-STD presets in Rust + tiny edge artifact (ADR-152) WiFlowStdConfig gains half()/quarter()/tiny() mirroring the overnight sweep exactly: TcnGroupsMode (Fixed/Gcd/Depthwise), input_pw_groups, derived stride schedule and decoder-mid (all default to upstream behavior; legacy serde JSON unaffected). Param formulas pin to trained ground truth first try: 843,834 / 338,600 / 56,290; default 2,225,042 pin and 1.192e-7 parity unchanged. 248 tests green. Tiny edge artifact (tiny_edge_bench.py): ONNX fp32 = 295 KB, 0.66 ms/win (~1,500/s CPU), 94.11% PCK@20 (matches sweep clean-test exactly; parity 1.49e-7). Static int8 is a bad trade at this scale (-1.43pt, +19% MPJPE, -16% size, slower) — recorded as negative result. Export note: width-16 breaks AdaptiveAvgPool((15,1)) TorchScript export; replaced by exact mean+matmul equivalent, proven by parity. Co-Authored-By: claude-flow <ruv@ruv.net> * fix: resolve all 10 confirmed code-review findings (7-angle review, 20/20 verified) wiflow_std: min_feature_width (default 15) replaces the keypoints->stride coupling — for_keypoints(17) now provably builds the trained [2,2,2,2] graph and pools 15->17, matching the validated Python protocol (pinned by tests); param_count() total on invalid configs; random_mask returns Result and rejects non-finite/out-of-range ratios; trainer checkpoints switched to safetensors (.pt VarStore roundtrip broken on Windows torch 2.11). ieee80211bf: SBP proxy now re-triggers instances and relays reports via Action::RelaySbpReport -> SensingFrame::SbpReport (clients consume via their existing path); missed_instances reset on success = consecutive semantics; SessionTable gains a guarded SBP entry point + unknown-id drop counter; initiator-role sessions reject inbound setup/SBP requests (RejectedNotSupported) closing the idle hijack; StartSetup/StartSbp outside Idle return InvalidStateForCommand; SBP validation unified through evaluate_setup with a 1:1 SetupStatus->SbpStatus mapping. events.rs split out to honor the 500-line cap. calibration/cli: enrollment geometry now actually reaches trained banks — both production call sites attach .with_geometry; --geometry flag on train-room and POST /enroll/geometry + train-body geometry on calibrate-serve give production a recording surface; geometry-free banks log the ADR-152 §2.1.2 note. benchmarks: corruption masks committed as ground truth (unregenerable after in-place cleaning; verified bit-identical regeneration from the pristine copy) + generate_corruption_masks.py producer; _bench_common.py dedups the 5x-copied shim/evaluate/seed/remap (post-refactor PCK@20 re-verified equal to the last digit); remote scripts get the mmap patch; tiny_edge --calib validated multiple-of-64; onnx_bench --help no longer executes (and overwrote) the export — artifact restored byte-exact. Workspace: 2,963 tests passed, 0 failed; Python proof PASS. Co-Authored-By: claude-flow <ruv@ruv.net> * ci: build workspace tests without debuginfo — runner disk exhaustion The combined 38-crate debug target exceeds the GitHub runner's disk ('final link failed: No space left on device'); the same tree measured 151GB locally with full debuginfo. CARGO_PROFILE_{DEV,TEST}_DEBUG=0 shrinks the target ~5-10x; debuginfo serves no purpose in CI test runs. Co-Authored-By: claude-flow <ruv@ruv.net> |

fix(ci): SAST actually scans the code + drop deprecated flaky semgrep action (#930)
Two real problems in the Static Application Security Testing job: 1. **It scanned a path that no longer exists.** `bandit -r src/` and `semgrep … src/` pointed at the repo-root `src/`, but the Python code moved to `archive/v1/src/` (64 .py files) when the runtime was rewritten in Rust. So the SAST scan matched nothing — a silent no-op (this is also why `bandit-results.sarif` was "Path does not exist" on recent runs). Fixed both to `archive/v1/src/`. 2. **Deprecated + redundant + flaky semgrep step.** The `returntocorp/semgrep-action@v1` step pulled `returntocorp/semgrep-agent:v1` from Docker Hub every run (intermittently timing out → red check, e.g. on #929) and is EOL. It was redundant: the pip `semgrep --sarif` step is what feeds GitHub Security; the action only pushed to the Semgrep cloud app via SEMGREP_APP_TOKEN. Removed it and folded its `p/docker` + `p/kubernetes` rulesets into the pip semgrep command, so coverage is preserved with no Docker pull. The job stays `continue-on-error: true` (non-gating). YAML validated. |

ci: use Swatinem/rust-cache for the Rust workspace job (reliability) (#925)
The Rust Workspace Tests job manually cached the whole `v2/target` via actions/cache@v4. For a 38-crate workspace that dir is multi-GB, and several CI runs this cycle intermittently died at the cache/setup step (after toolchain install, before "Run Rust tests"), each needing a rerun. Swatinem/rust-cache@v2 is the de-facto standard Rust CI cache: it caches the cargo registry/git + a pruned target, evicts stale dependencies, and restores large workspaces far more reliably and faster than a naive whole-target cache. `workspaces: v2` points it at the v2/ cargo workspace. Reliability/speed change — verified by observing subsequent main runs. |
