Unit tests call scaffold() directly and never exercise the packed tarball. Add `npm run test:scaffold`: pack the scaffolder, generate a project in an isolated temp dir, install, and run the demo to the missing-key gate, proving the published bytes scaffold, install, and load end-to-end. Wire it into CI as a scaffold-e2e job. Core installs from a local tarball so the test validates the current commit and stays green during the release window.
