- Persist a full snapshot of the affected per-user registry keys before enabling SFM as the default file manager. - Roll back registry changes if enabling fails partway through. - Restore the previous registry state only when the current keys still match SFM-owned values. - Avoid deleting registry keys that may contain external user or third-party changes. - Preserve legacy cleanup only for exact SFM-owned registry state without a backup. - Add tests for registry snapshot serialization and ownership mismatch detection.
