# Author pages
|
|
|
|
Every imported model keeps its author, and every author gets a page in Thingport.
|
|
|
|
- **Author page:** their cover picture, avatar and details, a link to their profile on the source site, and every
|
|
model of theirs you've saved.
|
|
- **Hover card:** hover an author's name anywhere to see a preview, without leaving the page.
|
|
- **Top authors** on the [dashboard](dashboard.md) shows whose models you keep most.
|
|
|
|
## Your own designs
|
|
|
|
If you publish models yourself, open your author page and choose **This is me**. Your designs then show up under
|
|
**My models** in the user menu, next to the models you uploaded, and your [profile](profile-and-activity.md) picks up
|
|
the author's bio and cover picture if you haven't set your own.
|
|
|
|
## Missing authors
|
|
|
|
An import sometimes can't fetch the author at the time, and the model shows only a name. Admins can fix every such
|
|
model at once with **Administration → Triggers → Link missing authors**, which matches them to authors already in
|
|
Thingport or looks them up on the source site.
|
