D-Ogi 758da5043e Coordinate NumPy 2, OpenCV 5 and current Torch dependency updates 2026-09-16 07:12:54 +02:00
D-Ogi ae98ac0e10 Replace IOPaint with a verified standalone LaMA runtime (#88)
Replace the IOPaint dependency with a small verified TorchScript LaMA adapter, shared dependency manifests, reliable model preparation, and cross-platform application validation.

Preserve crop/pad/composite behavior while handling empty masks and tiny inputs safely. Add integrity, offline, installer, image/video, and desktop backend coverage.

Closes #48. Closes #49.

FeronFae 34483dfb23 Casting input tensors, constrained fix scope to CPU-only & other
- Casting input tensors to match model's dtype and prevent downstream mismatches
- Left CUDA dtype as model default & scoped fix to CPU-only
- Removed trust_remote_code=True (if someone really needed it, they'd know where to enable it)

FeronFae cb946c9f98 Avoid CPU type conflicts by utilizing torch.float32 if invoked
Had issues running the model on my AMD-only setup (meaning I was running it purely on CPU.) I found the lack of dtype declaration; I recommend running the float32 on CPUs in general to avoid type conflicts.

Should list out pip line by line. Apparently, doing it all in one line can cause issues with the dependencies not being downloaded according to the stipulated index-url versions.

Daniel Sticker a1d8ddef35 Add LaMA model download instructions to README
Without installing the LaMA model files, users encounter a misleading "Unsupported model: lama" error when attempting to process images and no error when using the GUI. This happens because the model weights (~196MB) aren't included in the repository and need to be downloaded separately using the iopaint CLI.

DOgi b00ea53988 feat(setup.sh): Enhance script flexibility and user experience
- Added support for using the current directory as the root for Conda environments with the '--current-dir' option.
- Implemented automatic detection of previously used installation directories to avoid user memory overhead.
- Introduced the '--reinstall' option to allow easy reinstallation of the Conda environment, regardless of the directory.
- Enhanced argument parsing for robust handling of new and existing options.
- Improved feedback to users with informative messages about detected or chosen directories.
- Ensured seamless fallback to the default Conda directory if no custom directory is detected.
- Updated dependency checks to avoid unnecessary installations, speeding up subsequent runs.
- Maintained backward compatibility for users who prefer the default Conda setup.
- Simplified environment activation with '--activate', providing clear deactivation instructions.
